BRONX, NY, July 29, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Emmanuel Oduro-Bediako, PhD, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Dr. Oduro-Bediako has established a distinguished career as a senior church pastor with the Northeastern Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist in New York, a position he has held since 2016. He has pastored several Northeastern Conference congregations, including North Bronx Ghana Church, Hunts Point Church, Newburgh Tabernacle Church, Triumphant Tabernacle Mission and Calvary First Nigerian Church. His tenure in this role is marked by his dedication to integrating foundational classroom principles into his teaching interactions, which has earned him multiple awards in Ghana from his student days through his professional journey. Dr. Oduro-Bediako's commitment to spiritual growth and education was instrumental in enhancing the church's outreach and engagement with its members.

Before his present pastoral duties, Dr. Oduro-Bediako has contributed to academia as a teaching assistant for intermediate level course on reforming the Socio-philosophical Foundation of American Education at Andrews University. This role allowed him to refine his skills in curriculum development and instruction, further solidifying his reputation as an expert in these areas. Dr. Oduro-Bediako's dissertation, entitled, "public-school teachers' gender, years of teaching experience, knowledge and perception as predictors of their implementation of brain-based learning practices in K-12 classrooms," was designed to help improve teaching within the K-12 school system and higher institutions of learning. Fundamentally, Dr. Oduro-Bediako believes that proficiency in learners' cognitive development is the surest way for understanding the fragility and flexibility of cognition in general. Contrary to the traditional teaching model that considers teachers as sole repositories of knowledge, Dr. Oduro-Bediako believes that effective teaching must consider collaboration, learner autonomy, generativity, reflectivity, and active engagement as pathways for generating optimum students' potential.

Dr. Oduro-Bediako's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Theology from Valley View University in Ghana, which he earned in 1997. He furthered his education at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, earning a Master of Divinity in 2007 and later completing a Doctor of Philosophy in curriculum and instruction in 2019. These academic achievements have been pivotal in shaping Dr. Oduro-Bediako's approach to ministry and education, providing him with a robust foundation for his roles in both pastoral and educational settings.

Dr. Oduro-Bediako is a registered affiliate with the American Educational Research Association (AERA), the leading publisher of journals and books in educational research, hoping to remain relevant in promoting the educational processes, particularly. Looking ahead, Dr. Oduro-Bediako aims to enhance quality in K-12 education, and teaching practices. These goals reflect his ongoing commitment to education and community empowerment.

Dr. Oduro-Bediako attributes his success to God, his wife, and his goal-oriented mindset. This combination of faith, family support and determination has been instrumental in achieving his professional milestones and personal aspirations. His children have also been a tremendous inspiration for him.
