Mr. Henry's professional journey is deeply rooted in his military service as an aviator with the U.S. Marine Corps from 2000 to 2009.

ODESSA, FL, July 29, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- John Thomas Henry, MSBA, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Henry's career is a testament to his dedication and expertise in operational excellence and e-commerce. Currently serving as the director of operational excellence at Harbor Freight Tools, he manages projects, collaborates with IT engineers and project management offices and oversees budgeting processes. In this role since 2022, he is also responsible for hosting calls with decision-makers, writing budget requests, developing capital plans and conducting postmortems to evaluate project performance.

Before assuming his current position, Mr. Henry was the director of operations for the same company in Florence, South Carolina, from 2020 to 2022. In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in turning around the company's East Coast operations by addressing process efficiency, inventory accuracy, employee turnover and technology training for associates.

Before joining Harbor Freight Tools, Mr. Henry was instrumental in expanding DHL Supply Chain's presence in Latin America. From 2019 to 2020, he worked as the director of e-commerce in São Paulo, Brazil, where he collaborated with design teams and Warehouse Management Systems teams to effectively utilize technology for a major client in the distribution center marketplace. His efforts led to the successful launch of two buildings in Brazil and Mexico City before returning home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to his relocation to Brazil, he served as the director of e-commerce for DHL Supply Chain from 2018 to 2019.

Mr. Henry's career began at Amazon, where he spent nearly nine years honing his skills in operations management. Starting as a floor area manager in 2009 with a team of 40 people, he quickly advanced through various roles, including shipping manager and sortation area manager at LEX1 from 2009 to 2011. He then became an operations manager at LEX1, still under Amazon, from 2011 to 2012 before moving on to senior operations manager positions at PHL6-MKE1 from 2012 to 2016. His final role at Amazon was as assistant general manager, MKE1, from 2016 to 2017 and general manager and director in the Greater Milwaukee Area from 2017 to 2018.

Mr. Henry's professional journey is deeply rooted in his military service as an aviator with the U.S. Marine Corps from 2000 to 2009. His passion for aviation was ignited during his youth when his father took him to an airshow featuring the Blue Angels. Despite a medical discharge from the Navy due to a severe reaction to a preventive vaccination, Mr. Henry's interactions with Marines who had returned from the Gulf War inspired him to join the Marine Corps. For his contributions and service, he was granted the Coast Guard Commendation Medal in 2008.

Academically, Mr. Henry holds a Master of Science in business administration with a focus on management from Questrom School of Business at Boston University, earned in 2007. He also obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on finance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1999. Apart from his education, he attributes his success to his strong work ethic, instilled in him by his stepdad. He strives to learned from both successes and mistakes, glean from others and seek out challenges.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Henry is actively involved in civic organizations. He served on the board of directors for fundraising and program development at the Boys and Girls Club in Kenosha, Wisconsin, from 2016 to 2018. He is also a supporter of Tools for Schools through Harbor Freight and Seeing America.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Henry enjoys traveling, cooking and fishing as hobbies. Looking ahead, he is contemplating either continuing his professional career or pursuing full-time travel to document and write about his experiences. Additionally, he is considering starting his own business, reflecting his entrepreneurial spirit and desire for new challenges. Overall, he emphasizes the importance of honoring past successes while staying open to growth. He encourages everyone to balance confidence in strengths with humility and a commitment to continued learning.
