Driven by a foundational lesson from his grandmother that one's education can never be taken away, Dr. Smith has shared his extensive knowledge as a teacher at several institutions, including East Carolina University, Miami Dade College, University of Mexico and The College of the Florida Keys. To expand his professional qualifications, he is also certified as a viral geneticist.
