His military understanding, expertise and ability to connect people with opportunities have been pivotal in his role.

Before founding MorrisseyUSA, Mr. Morrissey served as an ESGR volunteer support technician at Interactive Government Holdings, Inc. from 2023 to 2024. Concurrently, he worked as a technical publications lead and independent contractor through Upwork. His tenure at Western Digital Corporation from 2016 to 2022 as a senior technical writer was notable for his leadership in the veterans organization and for initiating the WeSalute program, which provided substantial opportunities for veterans and their families. This initiative earned Western Digital one of the highest awards from the Department of Defense.

Mr. Morrissey's career includes roles such as senior technical writer and business analyst at Modis, Akkodis from 2015 to 2016, and senior technical writer and editor VI at SAIC from 2014 to 2015. He was a project manager at Belcan from 2011 to 2014 and was a senior technical writer and supervisor at InnovaSystems International, LLC from 2004 to 2011. Earlier in his career, he held positions as a business analyst at Kyocera Wireless and knowledge manager at Infrastructure Development Corporation.

Mr. Morrissey began with roles such as knowledge engineer at Peregrine Systems from 2000 to 2001 and senior technical consultant at Computer Associates in 2000. Notably, he was a project manager and senior technical writer at Microsoft from 1998 to 2000 during the launch of Windows 2000, where he gained insights into accessibility needs for people with disabilities and foreign language speakers.

Mr. Morrissey's educational background includes coursework in program management and business management at the University of California Riverside, an Associate of Arts in Humanities from Glendale Community College in 1981, and coursework at Los Angeles Valley College in 1979. He holds an amateur radio operator license from the Federal Communications Commission that is valid until 2032.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Morrissey has been actively involved with civic organizations such as the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), where he has served as public affairs director for California from 2011- 2021. He has also been Las Vegas – MG Fremont chapter president of the Association of the United States Army since 2024 and serves on the National Board of Patriots to Education. His dedication has been recognized with numerous awards, including the James M. Roche Spirit of Volunteerism Award from ESGR in 2020.

Outside his professional endeavors, Mr. Morrissey has launched a subsidiary company named Write The First Time under MorrisseyUSA. This venture aims to connect technical writers with organizations seeking expertise while ensuring proper documentation handling through a fee-based model. His vision includes finding someone interested in taking over business operations, allowing him to retire eventually.
