SILVER SPRING, MD, July 31, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kaitlyn Ridel has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Ridel has established herself as a distinguished content strategist and consultant, currently leading Kaitlyn Ridel Consulting. With over 10 years of experience in her profession, she is recognized for her expertise in policy, writing and content marketing strategy. Her role includes overseeing content strategy and execution on policy advocacy and education initiatives for nonprofits and businesses, breaking down complex policies for public understanding and collaborating with clients to drive measurable impact with the audiences they aim to reach.
Ms. Ridel's career journey is marked by several significant milestones. Prior to her current role, she served as the director of communications and marketing at Free the Facts, in 2024, where she honed her skills in nonprofit strategic communication. Prior to that, she was the senior director of digital content at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a role that followed her tenure as director and managing editor of digital content from 2019 to 2022. During her time there, she was part of the team that created the "Common Grounds" series, a program designed to foster bipartisan dialogue with Members of Congress over coffee, which achieved notable success.
Before joining the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Ridel held several key positions at Atlantic Media's Government Executive Media Group (now GovExec) from 2017 to 2019, including senior director of content, director of strategic marketing, and content marketing editor at Studio 2G, collaborating with Fortune 500 clients to meet their public-sector marketing goals. Prior to that, she worked at the intersection of content marketing, public policy and technology for FiscalNote (NOTE) in Washington, D.C. Earlier in her career, she was a journalist and researcher at CQ Roll Call and Northeast Ohio Media Group (now Advance Ohio). She also completed several internships that provided valuable insights into journalism and communication.
With a career in writing and content management, Ms. Ridel has contributed extensively through various publications. Some of her works include authoring a front-page investigative report "Thousands of Kids with lead poisoning won't get help" for USA TODAY in 2012.
Academically, Ms. Ridel earned a Bachelor of Arts in communication with minors in political science and world religions from the University of Dayton in 2013. Her educational journey also includes coursework in media and communication programs focused on political journalism and economics at The Washington Center, The Fund for American Studies, Georgetown University and studies in print journalism at Boston University.
Outside her professional roles, Ms. Ridel is actively involved in civic associations and creative projects. She currently serves as a member of the board of advisors for the National Digital Roundtable since 2025 and was a founding member of the Baltimore Chapter of Women in Business for Good from 2023-2024. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, supporting local businesses, volunteering in her community, and caring for her two rescue dogs.
Looking toward her professional future, Ms. Ridel envisions establishing a consulting and content studio that provides data-driven, ROI-focused content strategies for companies and nonprofits within the policy space. She aims to expand her business by building partnerships and working with nonprofits and local governments on public awareness campaigns and creating a work environment that balances productivity with employee well-being.
Ms. Ridel advises others never to limit themselves and to take bold risks in pursuit of their goals. Though she had heard this advice from entrepreneurs at the U.S. Chamber, it wasn't until she stepped out on her own—without the safety net of an established brand—that she fully understood its power. She believes the risk was well worth it. Today, she encourages others to embrace uncertainty and focus on building environments where people are inspired to grow.
