PISCATAWAY, NJ, August 12, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jeffrey M. Broggi, MSW, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Broggi, a dedicated professional with more than 25 years of experience in student affairs, currently serves as the Senior Associate Dean for Students at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Since 2018, he has been instrumental in overseeing various committees, conducting virtual drop-in hours four days a week and connecting students to essential resources. His role also involves assisting students with challenges outside the classroom that are impacting course work,, working with faculty to support students, and providing support to families after the loss of a student through their program called Rutgers Remembers. Prior to this position, he was the dean of students at the Livingston Campus from 2013 to 2018, where he played a pivotal role in consolidating various offices and enhancing student services.

Mr. Broggi's career at Rutgers began in 1998 when he joined the Department of Residence Life. Over the course of 15 years, he advanced through several roles, including hall director and area director, eventually becoming the director for all first-year residence halls. In 2007, after a reorganization at the university, he became a campus director at one of its four campuses for five years. His responsibilities included addressing mental health challenges on campus and coordinating necessary evaluations and hospitalizations for students. His commitment to student welfare earned him recognition as Partner of the Year by the Educational Opportunity Fund in both 2018 and 2019.

A member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, Mr. Broggi is deeply committed to his profession. He attributes much of his success to collaboration with the exceptional team he works with and the guidance he has received throughout his career. His journey into student affairs began during his graduate studies at Rutgers University, where he discovered a passion for working with college students while pursuing a master's degree in social work.

Mr. Broggi's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Kean University in 1998 and a Master of Social Work from Rutgers University in 2001. Despite struggling with grades and motivation in high school and his first stint in higher education, he discovered the impact he could make on young people through corresponding with an autistic student. He then decided to return to college and gain an education to help others who struggle with the same issues he faced. He is a picture of learning from mistakes as he experienced an academic dismissal at his first college and returned to school to graduate with honors before earning his master's degree.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Broggi is actively involved in civic-minded organizations, such as Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, and is a donor to the Dean of Students Emergency Fund at Rutgers University. He is particularly proud of organizing the "48.6 Miles for a Cure Spaghetti Dinner," which has raised over $60,000 for student emergency funds and muscular dystrophy research.

Born in New Brunswick, Mr. Broggi enjoys spending time with his family, including his two daughters, outside his professional duties. He is also an avid supporter of Rutgers athletics and maintains an active lifestyle through exercising and pickle ball. In the upcoming year, he intends to remain dedicated to supporting students and colleagues at Rutgers University, striving to make their journeys as smooth as possible by meeting them where they are and guiding them toward their aspirations.
