MINNEAPOLIS, MN, August 14, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Corey J. Harland has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Harland has established himself as a distinguished professional in the intersection of mental health and the legal system. Currently serving as a supervisor case intake at the Office of Police Conduct and Review, City of Minneapolis, Mr. Harland has been in this role since 2024. Affiliated with the city since 2022, Mr. Harland previously served as an internal auditor from 2023 to 2024. His skills were also honed during his tenure as a body worn camera analyst at the Office of Police Conduct and Review between 2022 and 2023.

In addition to his commitments with the city, Mr. Harland is the founder and chief executive officer of House-Raising, a nonprofit organization he established in 2022. This organization is particularly notable for its success in rehabilitating youth facing legal challenges, offering year-long basic life skills curriculum and community based activities in the arts and trades for at-risk youth.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Harland was the assistant director of pretrial services at JusticePoint in Saint Paul, Minnesota, in 2021, where he contributed to the development of pretrial services training and strengthened communication between the nonprofit and the Ramsey County Jail and Court senior leadership to establish better relations for criminal justice reform efforts.

Mr. Harland's career also included significant experience in mental health services. He worked as a unit manager, supervisor and training coordinator at Cambia Hills of East Bethel (now Nexus Family Healing) between 2020 and 2021. This last role was created for Mr. Harland to develop training plans for compliance with two state agencies and train the entire facility, along with creating five mid level supervisor roles to better support staff and the agency. His earlier roles at Headway Emotional Health Services (now Youable Emotional Health) included positions such as administrative assistant, children's mental health targeted case manager, youth diversion case manager and youth diversion outreach worker, starting in 2014. Mr. Harland created this last role to better serve clients and improve upon the county courts and organization's existing efforts. The results of the program were so successful that he was asked by other diversion and restorative justice program administrators to help them modify the work they were doing. These experiences have solidified Mr. Harland's reputation as an expert in mental health and its intersection with the legal system.

In preparation for his future, Mr. Harland earned a Bachelor of Science in vocational rehabilitation with a concentration in criminal justice from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 2011 and a Master of Science in criminal justice with a focus on behavior analysis from Saint Joseph's University in 2015. He is pursuing certification as a behavior analyst and licensure as a behavior analyst through Colorado University - Denver School of Education and Human Development.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Harland is actively involved in civic organizations. He serves on the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health & Therapy and has been a committee member on the subcommittee on children's mental health for the Minnesota State Advisory Council on Mental Health since 2020. He has been a member of the Minnesota Corrections Association since 2020, the Human Rights Campaign since 2019, the NAACP since 2019, and the Coalition for Juvenile Justice. Mr. Harland's past involvement includes community outreach with the Hennepin County Attorney's Office and serving as a mentor at the Emma B. Howe YMCA.

Mr. Harland's contributions have been recognized through several awards, including the Community Leadership in Collaboration Award from the Hennepin County Attorney's Office in 2019 and the Mission in Motion Award from Headway Emotional Health Services in 2020. He attributes his success to personal experiences and a robust support system that has guided him throughout his career.

Mr. Harland aims to reimagine how youth and individuals involved in both the legal system and mental health sectors are engaged, drawing on his extensive experience to influence positive change within these fields. His dedication to collaboration and leadership has been acknowledged by peers and community members alike.
