BOCA RATON, FL, August 14, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alexandra Mebane has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Mebane has established a distinguished career marked by progressive leadership roles and a commitment to operational excellence at Equinix Inc. Over the past decade, she has advanced through a series of increasingly responsible positions, each contributing to her reputation as an innovative and dedicated professional in the technology and business operations sector.
In 2025, Ms. Mebane assumed the role of senior manager of project and program management within global sales operations at Equinix Inc. In this capacity, she supports organizational leadership by facilitating workshops and meetings, collaborating on overarching business strategy, partnering cross-functionally with other chiefs of staff, and leading key global programs and projects across the enterprise. Her responsibilities also include preparing presentations for leadership, managing organizational priorities, overseeing process and policy documentation and ensuring all initiatives align with internal and external customer needs to support overall satisfaction.
From 2024 to 2025, Ms. Mebane served as senior manager of project and program management for go-to-market planning and strategy at Equinix. She played a pivotal role in shaping strategic direction and driving cross-functional collaboration across departments. Her efforts were instrumental in aligning business objectives with market demands through the transition of CEOs as well.
Between 2021 and 2024, Ms. Mebane held the position of senior manager of project and program management within global customer care and experience (GCCX) at Equinix. During this period, she led teams focused on enhancing customer engagement and streamlining service delivery processes. Notably to date, she spearheaded the redesign of the Novation process related to customer mergers and acquisitions—a complex procedure that previously required 86 steps and up to 12 months for completion. Through her leadership, the process was reduced to just 20 steps, enabling completion in a matter of days, significantly improving customer satisfaction.
From 2020 to 2021, Ms. Mebane was project and program manager for GCCX at Equinix back in the United States, where she managed critical projects aimed at optimizing customer experience and operational efficiency as well as handling customer escalations where required. Her earlier tenure as business analysis manager for global sales operations from 2019 to 2020 and senior business analyst for global customer process from 2018 to 2019 at Equinix saw her overseeing analytical initiatives that informed strategic decision-making across the organization.
As senior end-to-end business support specialist for EMEA business operations in London at Equinix from 2016 to 2018, she provided comprehensive support across multiple functions while working in three different countries over the course of three years, a testament to her adaptability and global perspective. From 2015 to 2016, Ms. Mebane served as customer success manager at Equinix, focusing on building strong client relationships in Switzerland, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction. Her journey at Equinix began in 2015 in Amsterdam as the executive assistant to the president and vice president of finance for EMEA. In this foundational role, she demonstrated exceptional organizational skills that set the stage for her subsequent advancement within the company.
Prior to joining Equinix, Ms. Mebane was lead editor at Solarplaza International in The Netherlands from 2014 to 2015, where she honed her editorial expertise in the renewable energy sector. From 2013 to 2014, she worked as product management and online marketing specialist at Dreamlines GmbH in Germany.
Ms. Mebane's academic background is equally impressive. She earned a Master of Arts in International relations and Affairs from the University of Göttingen in Germany in 2014 after also completing a Master of Arts in Economics and International Relations from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands in 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in German with a Minor in Philosophy from Sweet Briar College in Virginia, graduating in 2012. In addition, she completed study abroad coursework in German linguistics and literature at Heidelberg University in Germany in 2011.
Ms. Mebane's commitment to professional development is reflected by her certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from Equinix Inc., which underscores her expertise in process improvement methodologies, and ITIL Foundation certification from Equinix EMEA, demonstrating her proficiency in information technology service management best practices.
Throughout her career journey, Ms. Mebane has credited her success thus far to the strong mentorship provided by her first managers, particularly Eric Schwartz and Phillip Konieczny, who recognized her potential early on despite her lack of corporate and data center experience. Since then, she has continued to grow thanks in part to the guidance of Eric and Phillip, as well as incredible other managers and industry leaders during pivotal moments, which has helped shape both her personal growth and professional trajectory. This experience has influenced Ms. Mebane's own approach as a people manager; she values candidates who demonstrate a willingness to never stop learning and maintain a positive attitude above formal business related credentials.
Ms. Mebane's achievements have been recognized beyond her corporate roles. She was featured in The Washington Post's 2015 article "Alumna: Sweet Briar College is no finishing school. It must not close." She is also a member of Delta Phi Alpha National German Honor Society. Her civic engagement includes involvement with organizations during the Equinix annual October "Impact Month" as well as year round with the Special Olympics and the once named 'Hope Equestrian', reflecting her dedication to giving back to the community.
A Second City-trained improviser, Ms. Mebane not only practices but also teaches improvisational comedy with This Is Improv in Davie, Florida- a passion sparked when she enrolled in classes at The Second City theater in 2021. Encouraged by supportive feedback from a former manager, Tasha Makovskaya, who urged her to present herself naturally and courageously during workshops, she embraced improvisation as both an art form and teaching tool both at work and home.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Mebane enjoys spending time with her daughter alongside pursuing interests such as improvising with her troupes The A Team (FL) and 2pm Mistress (IL), riding horses, and practicing taekwondo, in which she holds a first degree black belt, though she is currently working on testing for her second degree black belt. She is also about to complete her Harvard Business School ceritification online for AI Essentials in Business.
Looking ahead, she aims to further advance into potential leadership roles particularly in the AI space, while continuing to prioritize people-centric leadership regardless of role. Driven by a desire to make an even greater impact on those around her, she remains committed to supporting meaningful causes through volunteerism and philanthropy as her career progresses. She is so incredibly grateful for the people she has learned from and had the opportunity to work alongside over the last decade, and looks forward to the next chapter!
