Mr. Pawlak has established himself as a distinguished professional in the field of information technology and pharmaceutical services, with a career spanning 28 years. Currently serving as Enterprise Transformation Lead for Service Now at AstraZeneca since 2023, Mr. Pawlak is dedicated to identifying opportunities to transform technology solutions that deliver outsized benefits to the company. His expertise in global leadership, providing technology solutions, and understanding end-user needs has been instrumental in his success.

Before joining AstraZeneca, Mr. Pawlak served in various IT roles at Alexion Pharmaceuticals Inc., including Patient Services business partner from 2022 to 2023, integration lead from 2021 to 2022, HRIT Business Partner to Human Resources focus on the employee experience from 2019 to 2021, and director of service delivery and end-user computing from 2017 to 2019. His tenure at Alexion began in 2015 when he joined as the director of IT Service Management. He played these roles in support of Alexion's growth from a $2.5 to $10 billion organization with over 4,000 employees by implementing enterprise-level solutions that scaled with the company's growth.

Mr. Pawlak began his career at Merck & Co., Inc., where he held various positions from 1997 to 2015. He started as a systems technician in IT architecture, and progressed through many roles including networking, storage and backup, integration, DNS and DHCP management as well as mergers an acquisition consolidation – all on a global basis. His final position at Merck was director of IT Service Delivery and Management, where he honed his skills in delivering efficient technology solutions supporting everyday employees as well as the C-suite.

Mr. Pawlak's academic background includes a Master of Science in information systems from the Stevens Institute of Technology in 2005 and a Bachelor of Science in computer engineering from Syracuse University in 1997. He has completed additional coursework through Enphase Energy and LinkedIn, earning numerous certifications in computing, leadership and strategy. These educational achievements have provided him with a strong foundation for his career in information technology and pharmaceuticals. He continues to be a life long learner constantly seeking new opportunities to learn and apply new skills across a wide variety of topics not limited to IT.

In addition to his professional and academic achievements, Mr. Pawlak maintains civic involvement as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. The son of Ukrainian immigrants, he has also contributed extensively to Ukranian relief efforts supporting refugees, where possible.

Mr. Pawlak is a licensed pilot and maintains membership in the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and the Experimental Aircraft Association Inc. His passion for aviation is reflected in his article "Witness a Sport Pilot Birth: a Nine-Month Journey," which was published in EAA Sport Aviation in 2015.

Mr. Pawlak's contributions have been recognized with accolades such as the Ones to Watch Award from the CIO Executive Council in 2019 and various internal performance awards. He attributes his success to his drive and the guidance of his parents, family and friends. He has an innate desire to help others and is passionate about leaving the world a better place than he found it.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Pawlak is a devoted family man with four children. He enjoys flying his personal aircraft and engaging in home improvement projects during his leisure time. Looking ahead, he envisions taking on a senior leadership role, driven by his passion for making a positive impact on society and humanity through his work.
