Under her guidance, Southern Indian Health Council Inc. was the only provider able to supply vaccines to teachers in Alpine, enabling them to safely return to classrooms and support local youth.

Prior to her current role, Mrs. Caswell served as Interim Chief Executive Officer at Southern Indian Health Council Inc. from 2019 to 2021. During this period, she demonstrated exceptional adaptability and vision by guiding the organization through significant challenges and transitions. Her efforts reinforced the clinic's reputation as a trusted resource for tribal and rural populations in San Diego County.

From 2014 to 2021, Mrs. Caswell held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Southern Indian Health Council Inc., where she was responsible for streamlining operations and enhancing service delivery across multiple departments. Her expertise in health care administration and leadership contributed to improved organizational efficiency and patient outcomes.

Mrs. Caswell began her tenure with Southern Indian Health Council Inc. as the Human Resources Director from 2013 to 2014. In this capacity, she implemented effective personnel strategies that fostered a collaborative workplace culture and supported staff development. Her earlier career includes serving in multiple health services roles at California Correctional Health Care Services from 2000 to 2013. There, she managed clinical operations within a complex correctional environment, further honing her administrative acumen.

A hallmark of Mrs. Caswell's career is her dedication to community service and youth empowerment. In 2016, she opened the first Native American Boys and Girls Club in California, addressing the needs of at-risk youth in East San Diego County's rural areas. The club provides a safe environment, warm meals and tutoring support-an initiative that remains close to her heart and continues to grow alongside those it serves.

Mrs. Caswell's academic background has been foundational to her success. She earned a Master of Business Administration in Business Administration and Management from the University of Phoenix in 2009 and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Diego State University in 2006. She has also completed a certificate in Health Care Leadership from Dignity Health Global Education in 2022 and holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Six Sigma Online at Aveta Business Institute awarded in 2020. These credentials have equipped her with advanced skills in organizational leadership and process improvement.

Mrs. Caswell's civic involvement is extensive. She is a lead supporter of the Boys and Girls Club of America in California and actively supports numerous community events including the annual Wellness conference SIHC puts on featuring various resources and workshops in San Diego County every October. She is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, reflecting her commitment to ongoing professional development.

Her contributions have been recognized with several honors, including being named California Nonprofit of the Year by the California Assembly in 2023, being named Clinic of the Year by the California Rural Indian Health Board in 2023, receiving a San Diego County certificate of recognition from Supervisor Joel Anderson's office, and a certificate of recognition for outstanding community service by the State of CA Senate in 2017. Mrs. Caswell attributes her achievements to humility and leading by example, encouraging her team to embrace learning opportunities through shared experiences.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Mrs. Caswell enjoys hiking and playing tennis with her family during her leisure time.
