His role involves hiring doctors, overseeing the entire revenue cycle management process from intake to billing and collections and integrating new technology and software systems to enhance service delivery.

Mr. Bernhardt's initial foray into the professional world was as a licensed insurance agent for 10 years before transitioning into laboratory management. He worked his way up to assistant vice president at Palmer & Cay Co. Insurance and Investments in Jacksonville from 1995 to 2000. Mr. Bernhardt then transitioned to the health care sector, serving as the director of sales at HealthScreen America between 2000 and 2001 and MyWellScan, Jacksonville Beaches and Southside Medical Imaging from 2001 to 2003. In 2003, he joined Bernhardt Laboratories as the chief financial officer, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the company's workforce and revenue. Following his father's passing in 2007, Mr. Bernhardt took over as the chief executive officer until the company was sold to Aurora Diagnostics in 2009.

At Aurora Diagnostics, Mr. Bernhardt initially served as the general manager from 2010 to 2013 before being promoted to vice president of operations, a position he held until 2021. During his tenure, he was instrumental in streamlining operations and implementing innovative diagnostic solutions. In 2021, Mr. Bernhardt joined One Path Diagnostics as a managing partner, where he continues to make significant contributions to the field.

Mr. Bernhardt received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1993. He also holds an insurance license.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Bernhardt is actively involved in various civic organizations. He has been an assistant coach for the men's varsity basketball team at The Bolles School since 2009. He is also a member of the Deerwood Rotary Club and co-founder and chair of the board of directors for The Harvey Bernhardt Foundation.

During his tenure in insurance, Mr. Bernhardt was recognized as a two-time Million Dollar Round Table member.

He attributes his success to his parent's legacy and the invaluable training and mentoring he has received throughout his career. His fair, honest, hardworking nature has also been instrumental in his accomplishments.

Mr. Bernhardt aims to see his business flourish further and hopes to be in a financial position to increase his philanthropic efforts. An animal lover, he is also considering founding a charity dedicated to animal welfare.
