EDUCATION HIGHLIGHTS
Dr. Koppen received a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Amsterdam Medical School in the Netherlands in 1969, where he also completed training in ear, nose and throat surgery in 1974. During his medical training and working in the field for 13 years, he faced situations that made him question the rigid structures within various medical specialties, particularly as they relate emotional health to physical well-being. As such, Dr. Koppen pursued additional training and shifted his attention to energy medicine, a subspecialty in which he has excelled for numerous decades. Subsequently, he relocated to the United States in 1987 to formally commence the new phase of his career.
