Among his most notable achievements in this role is generating $1.2 million in just nine months, a testament to his effectiveness in donor relations and fundraising.

Prior to being promoted to his current position, Mr. Dennis served as a donor outreach coordinator from 2023 to 2024, where he focused on establishing and nurturing relationships with supporters, ensuring sustained engagement with the organization's mission. His earlier tenure as volunteer coordinator at The Place of Forsyth for the preceding year involved recruiting, training and managing volunteers while developing relationships with donors in the community and working on design/marketing projects for the organization.

From 2020 to 2022, Mr. Dennis held the role of food coordinator at The Place of Forsyth, overseeing food distribution logistics and collaborating with local partners to address food insecurity in the community. He also worked for one year as a personal care assistant at Southern Companions.

In his early career, Mr. Dennis simultaneously worked as a youth assistant at First Baptist Church of Gainesville and as a community outreach coordinator at Georgia Mountain Food Bank. His previous employers include Interactive Neighborhood for Kids and North Georgia Christian School, where he was a coach and teacher. His professional journey began as director of graphic services at Clearwater Christian College from 1988 to 2006.

Mr. Dennis's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in art teacher education from Bob Jones University, earned in 1982. Beyond his education, he attributes his success to his strong faith and the values instilled in him through scouting principles that have shaped his approach to leadership and relationship-building. He also emphasizes openness and honesty in all interactions, recognizing the inherent value in every individual he meets. His enthusiasm for service work has consistently engaged others in supporting organizational missions while upholding high ethical standards rooted in kindness and respect.

Beyond his professional roles, Mr. Dennis has made significant contributions as scoutmaster for Troop 26 of Boy Scouts of America under the Northeast Georgia Council since 2007. He also serves as a board member for Rotary International in Hall County, reflecting his ongoing commitment to civic engagement.

Recognized through his industry, Mr. Dennis' dedication has been recognized through several prestigious awards. In 2025, he has been granted the Silver Shovel Award from the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce for exceptional community service, the Silver Beaver Award from Northeast Georgia Council in 2024, and the District Award of Merit in 2005, from the West Central Florida Council.

In his personal life, Mr. Dennis enjoys mentoring young men and women through scouting activities, such as leading an all-male troop, participating in summer camps, starting a co-ed venture crew, organizing adventures, and serving on various committees in the Northeast Georgia Council.

Anticipating his professional future, Mr. Dennis is focused on passing on a legacy that will ensure Georgia Mountain Food Bank's mission continues to thrive by developing future leaders within the organization. He values building strong relationships and maintaining transparency while fostering high ethical standards throughout his work. As he prepares for eventual retirement, he remains passionate about his mission and envisions pursuing personal adventures, such as a thru-hike on the Appalachian Trail, as part of his future endeavors.
