Her career began in special education, and she taught at various public schools in New Jersey, including Upper Saddle River Board of Education, Teaneck Public School, Tenafly Public Schools, Englewood Public School District and Emerson Public Schools between 2016 and 2020. Dr. Cohen's early professional experience also included working with Kelly Education, through which she thrived as a substitute teacher between 2015 and 2016.

Impressive academic credentials further define Dr. Cohen's presence in her field. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood, Elementary and Special Education from Arcadia University in 2015, after which she pursued graduate studies. She now holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the same institution, completed in 2016, and a Doctor of Philosophy in education from Northcentral University (now National University) in 2025. Notably, Dr. Cohen's academic excellence was recognized through her inclusion on the Dean's List at both Northcentral University and Arcadia University.

Dr. Cohen also actively seeks opportunities for civic engagement and volunteers with animal shelters and organizations such as Pet ResQ, and she achieves balance through yin yoga, spending time with her pets and dancing—a passion that traces back to her youth when she was a competitive dancer.

Dr. Cohen plans to persist in her belief in the power of hard work and dedication, fueled by a deep desire to honor her ancestors' sacrifices. Looking toward the future, she envisions taking on a leadership role in overseeing student support services.
