Ms. Mallinson's illustrious career in music spans over four decades, marked by her dedication and expertise in performance. She began her journey in the United States in 1974 as a faculty member in the music department at Binghamton University, the State University of New York. Over the years she played a pivotal role in coaching vocal students and taught piano students, piano classes, while also accompanying vocal lessons. Her commitment to nurturing young talent was evident through her involvement as a voice coach and piano teacher. Her tenure at Binghamton University culminated in her retirement after a distinguished career.

In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Ms. Mallinson achieved significant milestones as a performer. In 1992, she performed Beethoven's piano concerto No.5 with the Binghamton Community Orchestra. Among many concerts she has organized, the memorable one was a collaboration with a dance group called "Gallumpha" and a Baritone and Ms. Mallinson at the piano, of "Dichterliebe" by Scumann, which was a world premiere performance, in 2006. Her most significant achievement came in November 1997 when she performed Ravel's piano concerto in Seoul, South Korea, as an invited soloist by the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra.

Ms. Mallinson's educational background laid a strong foundation for her success. She earned her bachelor's degree in music from Seoul National University, and traveled to France to obtain a prestigious Licence d'Enseignment awarded only to the first-place winner of a competition. She attended The Julliard School, where she completed another bachelors degree in piano performance in less than two years. Her academic journey continued at Binghamton University, where she pursued a master's degree. These achievements were supported by scholarships from the French Government, American Conservatory of Music in Fontainebleau, France and Teaching Assistantship by Binghamton University.

Throughout her career, Ms. Mallinson has been actively involved with industry-related organizations. She served as a board member for the local chapter of the Music Teachers National Association and National Guild of Piano Teachers Association, contributing to the advancement of music education. Her dedication to civic engagement is reflected in her volunteer performances at a Catholic church where she shared her musical talents with the community.

Ms. Mallinson's contributions extend beyond music education and performance. She co-authored "Woman With Altitude: Challenging the Adirondack High Peaks in Winter," published by Carol Stone White in 2005, sharing her personal experiences and passion for mountain climbing. Her creative endeavers have been recognized with several awards, including a second prize in piano in National Music Competition sponsored by the Korean Ministry of Education, Lifetime Achievement Award by Kyung-Gi High School and Individual Artist Award from the New York Council of Arts, Chapin Fund by MTNA.

Ms. Mallinson credits her success to the support she received from her parents and her husband, as well as colleagues who encouraged her. Her brother-in-law Ronald Roseman, a world-renowned oboeist also served as a significant influence and guide.

In her personal life, Ms. Mallinson finds joy in mountain climbing, and enjoys challenges both on stage and in nature. Looking ahead, she plans to continue playing for audiences who appreciate piano music and remain active in performing arts. Her journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and passion, inspired early aspirations and support from those who believed in her potential.
