Ms. Sullivan's academic journey began at Boston College, where she earned both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education degrees in elementary education, special education and teaching emotionally disturbed children. Her commitment to educational excellence was further demonstrated through her certification in teaching learning-disabled children from the University of Virginia. She also pursued post-graduate training in behavior management, learning theory and attention deficit disorder at the University of California, Los Angeles and California State University, Los Angeles. These academic achievements have been instrumental in shaping her innovative approaches to education.

Throughout her career, Ms. Sullivan has been inspired by pioneers such as William Cruikshank and mentored by Marion Tannhauser, who influenced her understanding of executive functioning in education. Her most notable achievement is developing a program focused on executive functioning skills long before it became widely recognized. This program empowers children to organize, identify and execute tasks successfully. In addition to her professional endeavors, Ms. Sullivan is actively involved in civic activities. During her college years, she volunteered at a state school in Massachusetts, demonstrating her longstanding commitment to community service. She also established the Drew Stig Memorial Scholarship to support high school juniors preparing for the ACT and SAT exams. Her contributions have been recognized with awards such as The Best of Arlington for Tutoring in SAT and ACT and national recognition as the Best Tutoring Company.

Her dedication to education is further reflected in her memberships with organizations such as Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD) and Washington Independent Services for Educational Resources (WISER). Personal experiences within her family influenced Ms. Sullivan's journey into education. Ms. Sullivan's life is enriched by her family, including two sons and four grandchildren. Her passion for horses began at seven, leading her to ride dressage as an adult and even participate in an Olympic trial.
