Ms. Kunkle's academic background includes a bachelor's degree in chemistry and biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego, which she earned in 2002. Additionally, she holds a biosafety level 3 certification obtained through Emory University while working in the neuroimmunology lab at the University of Michigan—a credential that underscores her commitment to safety and excellence in high-stakes environments.
