Her efforts contributed to the organization's reputation for high-quality care and innovation in ophthalmology services throughout Houston and surrounding areas. Prior to Houston Eye Associates, she was the chief operating officer at Bay Area Regional Medical Center, where her focus on operational excellence and patient satisfaction resulted in measurable improvements across the organization. Earlier in her tenure at HCA, Ms. Owen held various roles within the organization. In 2013, she began her journey in business development before advancing to administrator of bay area Surgicare Center, where she spent approximately four years prior to becoming assistant vice president for the division. During this time, she managed large-scale operations across Houston and San Antonio, overseeing a network of 13 surgery centers. Her ability to maintain quality care while managing expansive operations demonstrated her longstanding expertise in back-end operations, marketing, business development and data management. Over her seven-year tenure at HCA, she gained valuable experience across hospitals, surgery centers and physician practices, insights that have proven invaluable in her current executive role at CLS Health.

Before transitioning into administrative roles, Ms. Owen worked in pharmaceutical sales for 12 years, further broadening her understanding of the healthcare industry. With a wide range of experience and determination to foster positive working cultures, she is recognized for her success in empowering providers to focus on patient care while excelling in operational management, marketing strategies and data-driven decision making.

Dedicated to continuous learning and personal growth, she earned her Bachelor of Science in agricultural business with a minor in general business from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1999, followed by a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in healthcare administration in 2018. She credits her success to the guidance of exceptional mentors throughout her life including her parents, grandfather, former chief executive officers and other influential leaders who shaped her career.

A proud Texan with deep roots in her community, Ms. Owen comes from a family of accomplished women who have served as role models and instilled in her the values of perseverance and leadership. Beyond her professional achievements, she is a proud mother of four sons. She enjoys traveling, cooking for her family and friends and exploring new cuisines as a food enthusiast. Though her husband, Cody, unfortunately passed away in 2025, she continues to honor his memory through her work and family life, and looks forward to welcoming their first granddaughter into the world.
