Ms. Cummings' tenure at Dell Inc. was particularly notable. She served as the director of global benefits from 1995 to 2000, where she made pioneering contributions by leveraging technology during the rise of the internet. In 1996, she led the design and implementation of the first employee benefits internet enrollment application, enabling new hires to select health and welfare benefits online on their first day, a groundbreaking advancement in employee onboarding that predated similar offerings by major financial institutions, such as Fidelity.

Additionally, at Dell Inc., Ms. Cummings also led the development of the first online health and welfare benefit election system as well as the first online 401(k) platform, online portals to capture employee stock purchase plan elections and annual executive bonus elections. These innovations enabled employees to access their benefits immediately and provided tools, such as online total reward statements, that displayed the full value of company-provided benefits annually. Ms. Cummings' work not only addressed legal requirements but also enhanced employee engagement and retention by making benefit information more accessible.

Ms. Cummings began her corporate career in 1985, shortly after passing the bar exam, when she joined Halliburton as an ERISA specialist. Over the course of a decade, until 1995, she built a strong foundation in benefits compliance and administration — expertise that would shape and inform her future leadership roles.

In addition to her corporate achievements, Ms. Cummings has been an adjunct professor in the master's in human resources program at The University of Oklahoma since 2016, sharing her extensive knowledge with future professionals in the field. She has also served on the board of directors for SouthWest Benefits Association since 2023 and is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association. Whether working with the chief executive officer or helping an employee who may not have graduated from high school, she emphasizes the value of the rewards available to them and to the company. Moreover, Ms. Cummings supports individuals who may not have had the opportunity for a full education, helping them maximize what they have accrued over their lifetime to make it meaningful for themselves and for the individuals they wish to provide for when they pass away.
