Since 2023, Mr. Gomez has served as the senior manager of solar project management at RWE Clean Energy following the company's acquisition of Con Edison Clean Energy Businesses. In this capacity, he manages the construction of multiple utility-scale projects simultaneously, traveling to various states to supervise the development of power plants that generate electricity from solar panels. He takes particular pride in seeing each project become operational, knowing that every successful launch represents months/years of dedicated teamwork and results in increased clean energy production.

Prior to joining RWE, Mr. Gomez was a project manager at Con Edison Clean Energy Businesses from 2021 to 2023. During this period, he supported the development of utility-scale solar and storage projects throughout the United States, contributing to the company's growth and eventual merger with RWE.

Before his tenure at Con Edison, Mr. Gomez held the position of project manager at Changing Visions of Energy (CVE), where he continued to expand his expertise in large-scale commercial solar projects and collaborated with finance and legal teams to ensure accurate and compliant inputs into financial models. His earlier experience includes serving as a project manager and associate project manager at SunPower Corporation from 2016 to 2020, during which he led teams responsible for delivering high-impact solar installations and increased gross profits through his skills in risk management and cost control strategies.

Mr. Gomez's storied career began with his first tenure at Con Edison, where he served as a leadership development program associate from 2013 to 2014. This platform provided him with comprehensive training in company operations and senior leadership principles such as open communication, innovation and authenticity. Upon completion, he transitioned into the role of operating supervisor of electric construction from 2015 to 2016, during which he managed electric equipment maintenance teams and gained hands-on experience with power plant and substation projects.

Before starting his professional journey, Mr. Gomez pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from The City College of New York in 20l3, where he was recognized on the Dean's List in 2011 for academic excellence. Determined to make an impact outside the classroom as well, he was a member of the Student Branch of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a proud representative of the Latin American Student Association.

To expand his qualifications, Mr. Gomez completed coursework in risk and change management at New York University in 2021 as well as an OSHA 30-hour training course through ClickSafety in 2016. Along with his education, he attributes much of his success to the support and guidance provided by his parents during his upbringing in Bogota. The discipline and principles they instilled significantly influenced his academic pursuits and continue to fuel his professional endeavors today.

Also known for making a meaningful impact through community service, Mr. Gomez served as the technical director for AccesoSolar from 2015 to 2020. Under his leadership, AccesoSolar developed and installed a solar electrical system that provided free power and water access to a small community in Colombia. The initiative was realized through a partnership with Swissaid, which funded half the costs while he and his colleagues raised the remainder and managed all aspects of design and construction until the plant became operational. He also ensured local residents were trained to operate the facility independently.

Looking to the future, Mr. Gomez remains dedicated to advancing clean energy solutions and is equally committed to guiding emerging professionals within the industry. Currently mentoring two team members at RWE Clean Energy, he provides them with learning opportunities and insights drawn from his extensive experience to ensure they are well-prepared to continue driving progress in renewable energy. His journey reflects a growing legacy of technical expertise and a deep commitment to sustainable development and community empowerment through clean energy innovation.
