He is recognized for his expertise in mechanical, electrical and piping systems within the aquatics industry. In 2024, he assumed the role of Director of QA/QC at GPSI in Carrollton, Texas. In this capacity, he has overseen critical aspects of project delivery, ensuring that all installations meet rigorous standards for safety and performance. His leadership at GPSI reflects a culmination of decades of experience and a commitment to excellence in aquatic engineering.
Prior to joining GPSI, Mr. Gross served as Director of QA/QC at BrightView Landscape Development, BrightView Holdings Inc. in Las Vegas from 2018 to 2024. During this period, he was responsible for implementing comprehensive quality protocols across multiple large-scale projects, including the lake and water features at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA, further solidifying his reputation as an industry leader. From 2015 to 2018, he held the position of Project Manager at BrightView Landscape Development. In this role, he managed complex construction schedules and coordinated multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-profile aquatic installations on time and within budget.
Between 2013 and 2014, Mr. Gross contributed his expertise as Superintendent at RBD Construction Ltd. in Edmonton, Canada. He directed field operations for major aquatic projects, including the development of marine and aquatic life support systems for the Edmonton Valley Zoo.
From 2011 to 2013, Mr. Gross was Field Operations Superintendent with Biscayne Group Inc. in Austin, Texas, where he supervised the installation of advanced water features and swimming pools for commercial clients throughout the nation. As Field Operations Manager at Natare Corporation in Indianapolis from 2009 to 2011, he played a pivotal role in delivering innovative aquatic solutions for international clients. Notably, during this period he led the SkyPark swimming pool project atop the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore from 2009 to 2010—a landmark achievement that remains the world's highest and longest infinity edge swimming pool. This project garnered global attention and was featured on both the Discovery Channel's "Build It Bigger" and "Megastructures" and Travel Channel's "Pools with a View," where Mr. Gross was interviewed regarding his contributions.
From 2003 to 2009, Mr. Gross served as President of Aquatics Design & Construction in Pearl City, Hawaii. Under his leadership, the company completed numerous high-profile projects across Hawaii and the Pacific region. Previously, he was Vice President of Operations at Maui Waterscapes LLC in Maui from 2001 to 2003 and vice president of the construction division at All Pool & Spa Inc. on Oahu from 1990 to 2001. His work during these years included managing the Grand Wailea Resort swimming pools and water features in Maui—a significant milestone that launched his career and set new standards for resort water park design.
Mr. Gross started his professional journey as a machinist with Industrial Engineering & Equipment Co. In Davenport, IA. Prior to transferring to the John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, IL. He then spent several years with QCA Pools and Spas, a swimming pool and spas contracting company in Iowa, where he developed his interest and foundation in the water features industry.
Mr. Gross's academic background includes coursework in computer numerically controlled machinist technology at Black Hawk College in Moline, Illinois. He also holds several professional certifications, including a C-49 swimming pool contractor license from the State of Hawaii, Divemaster certification from PADI, Rescue Diver certification with scuba lifesaving techniques from PADI and licensure as a firearms manufacturer through the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives.
His professional affiliations include membership as a divemaster with PADI since 1992 and service with Stillwater County Search and Rescue from 2007 to 2009, where he contributed to disaster and humanitarian relief efforts. Mr. Gross is also a lifetime member of both the National Rifle Association of America since the 1980s and the Republican National Committee. In his personal life, he enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife and three children.
Mr. Gross's work portfolio encompasses several landmark projects, such as The SkyPark swimming pools and spas at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, marine and aquatic life support systems for Edmonton Valley Zoo, water features and swimming pools at Discovery Cove for SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment Inc., multiple water parks across Guam, Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands and three Olympic competition pools (50 meters) in Hawaii. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his achievements with honors such as a letter of commendation from the mayor's executive director for his work on the Olympic competition pool in Kona, Hawaii.
