Earlier in his career, Dr. Todd worked as a registered nurse at LSU Health Shreveport from 2012 to 2015 and at Willis-Knighton Health System from 2014 to 2015.

A passion for continuous learning prompted Dr. Todd to pursue academic excellence. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Community Health from Louisiana State University in Shreveport in 2009 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University in 2012. In 2017, he completed a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesia from Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University, where he was named the Outstanding Clinical Student, and he subsequently pursued a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from Louisiana State University, which he finished in 2022. Notably, Dr. Todd is an executive leadership academy graduate through the Baton Rouge Business Report as of 2024.

Dr. Todd's professional affiliations reflect his enduring dedication to advancing healthcare leadership and advocacy. He has been a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives since 2024 and participates in the Baton Rouge Area Foundation. He has maintained active membership with the Louisiana Association of Nurse Anesthetists since 2019 and with the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists since 2017. Additionally, Dr. Todd began serving as a Community Advisory Committee member and Curriculum Committee member for Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in 2020 and is affiliated with the Baton Rouge Youth Coalition, the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, and The Oaks LSU Athletic Philanthropic Society.

Dr. Todd acknowledges that the values instilled in him as a youth have played a central role in his advancement. Dr. Todd has contributed scholarly work to his field by co-authoring publications such as "Job Satisfaction of CRNAs for 1099 and W2 Employment," published in the Franciscan University's Nurse Anesthesiology Journal in 2025. He presented an engaging talk on expanding the role of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists at the Louisiana Association of Nurse Anesthetists Annual Meeting in 2015, and in 2025, Dr. Todd was invited to speak on podcasts such as "Clinicians in Leadership" for the American Journal of Healthcare Strategy and "Anesthesia Boardroom – The CRNA Shortage."

Dr. Todd enjoys sports, particularly playing baseball and football with his children, as well as hiking and fishing. He also thrives on supporting initiatives focused on youth education access and local food inequity issues. He credits his wife as his greatest source of motivation and values her candid feedback and encouragement about his ideas regarding new ventures.
