Mrs. Armstead also served as an ACE Manager at Raytheon Technologies, formerly United Technologies. In this position, she played a pivotal role in improving the company's safety score from 12 percent to 88 percent within one year by developing comprehensive safety programs. Additionally, she guided the organization through a successful business process improvement journey, elevating it from the lowest qualifying level to a silver recertification through effective leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Her earlier experience includes roles as Project Manager and Process Manager at Greensky, now owned by Goldman Sachs, where she contributed to process optimization initiatives. Mrs. Armstead began her career as a human resources and benefits professional in the textile industry, gaining foundational experience in workforce management and employee relations.

Mrs. Armstead's academic background has been instrumental in shaping her career trajectory. She earned a Master of Science in organizational leadership from Brenau University in Gainesville in 2017 and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in project management from Brenau University in 2016. She holds a bachelor's degree in industrial education with a concentration in management from Clemson University, graduating in 1999.
