During the preceding year, she was a senior director and global head of financial operations at Flexport Inc., a global logistics technology firm. There, she led financial planning and analysis, streamlined reporting processes and managed accounts receivable and payable for a $4 billion organization. Overseeing a global team of 65 professionals, she gained significant experience in cross-cultural management and large-scale operational leadership.
Ms. Harran's previous tenure at Honeywell International Inc. spanned several key roles between 2018 and 2022. As supply chain financial planning and analysis director, she directed financial performance management for 86 global plants, focusing on cost variances and comprehensive reporting. She also served as chief financial officer for gas processing technologies for one year, managing a $500 million business unit with full responsibility for its financial operations. Earlier, as director of finance, she contributed to strategic initiatives that enhanced organizational efficiency.
From 2017 to 2018, Ms. Harran was finance manager at Amazon, where she supported transportation finance and later Prime Now operations. Her work involved budgeting, forecasting and supporting business decisions that improved operational outcomes. Prior to this, she held a long tenure at General Electric, beginning in 2008 and including several progressive roles within GE Power & Water and GE Vernova. As senior commercial finance manager and senior financial planning and analysis manager, she developed expertise in commercial finance and consolidated financial reporting. Between 2012 and 2014, she was senior finance systems lead, overseeing large-scale SAP implementations across multiple business units after completing stints as finance manager for global aftermarket services, and operations financial analyst for Mobile Water.
Ms. Harran's early professional experience in finance includes serving Meritor (now Cummins Meritor), North Oakland Medical Center (NOMC) and Credit Acceptance Corporation. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership development, mentorship and professional growth as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and former president of the Financial Management Association at Oakland University. Additionally, her involvement in women's network groups with multiple leadership initiatives have included organizing networking events designed to connect women across the organization with leaders for meaningful conversations.
Of all her work, Ms. Harran is particularly proud of her ability to recognize her own leadership capabilities through extensive professional experience. Educationally, Ms. Harran's background includes a Master of Business Administration in International Business from Wayne State University in Detroit in 2006. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, with a minor in Economics. In addition to her formal education, she completed coursework in mergers and acquisitions, as well as corporate development strategies, through Wharton Executive Education at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2024.
Born in York, Pennsylvania, Ms. Harran balances her professional pursuits with family life with her husband and three young children and personal interests that include traveling, football, and playing tennis. She is dedicated to mentoring students, including a stint as a mentor at the University of Washington, as well as mentoring junior colleagues within her organizations, drawing inspiration from her own experiences with mentorship throughout her career.
