Mr. Berry's tenure at Colgate-Palmolive from 1990 to 2008 was a significant period in his career. His international experience was further enriched during his time as vice president of human resources for Colgate Europe from 1998 to 2001, based in Paris. He also honed his human resources expertise at Procter & Gamble from 1978 to 1986. His journey began at IBM as a product scheduler from 1968 to 1971, where he developed a strong foundation in technology.
Mr. Berry's academic achievements have significantly contributed to his professional success. He earned a Master of Business Administration in marketing management from the Williams College of Business at Xavier University in 1983 and a Master of Science in behavior science, social work, and organizational and administration development from Columbia University in 1975. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Queens College and an Associate of Arts in marketing from the Borough of Manhattan Community College. His certifications include a Blue Ocean Strategy Certification and in Cross-Cultural Competency Leadership, among others.

He serves on several boards, including vice chair emeritus of the City University of New York Construction Fund and the vice chair of the board of trustees of the Louis Armstrong House Museum.
