In his current role since 2024, Mr. Misra has demonstrated exceptional expertise in both market insights and the technical aspects of turbomachinery controls, including gas turbines, industrial liquefied natural gas compressors and steam turbines. He is recognized for his ability to identify key market players, assess their positions and develop alliances that enhance revenue and profitability. Among his most notable accomplishments is the development of the liquefied natural gas and compressor control compression market at Woodward. Under his leadership, annual revenue increased from just under $4 million to approximately $9 million within a year and a half, while the sales funnel expanded from $4 million to $60 million. This achievement reflects his deep industry knowledge and relationship-building skills.

Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Misra served as sales manager at Woodward from 2022 to 2024. In this capacity, he was responsible for driving sales initiatives across North America and played a pivotal role in expanding the company's business-to-business strategy into global markets such as Japan, Australia, Southeast Asia, India, the Middle East, Europe and both South and North America.

From 2021 to 2022, Mr. Misra held the position of customer account manager at Woodward's headquarters in Fort Collins, Colorado. He managed key client relationships and ensured customer satisfaction through tailored solutions for turbine and compressor controls.

Between 2019 and 2021, he was promoted to staff application engineer at Woodward's headquarters after initially joining the company as a senior application engineer in Abu Dhabi in 2012. In these engineering roles from 2012 to 2019, Mr. Misra designed solutions for turbine and compressor controls while collaborating with major clients such as Saudi Aramco and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company. His technical acumen was further honed during this period through hands-on experience with complex control systems.

Before joining Woodward, Mr. Misra worked as a field controls engineer at Compressor Controls Corporation from 2009 to 2012. There he gained valuable experience in field operations related to compressor control systems.

His professional journey began at Reliance Industries Limited in India from 2004 to 2009, where he served as plant maintenance manager specializing in advanced process control. At just 22 years old, he was entrusted with overseeing the power plant operations at one of the world's largest refineries—a formative experience that ignited his passion for energy flow management and machinery optimization. During his tenure at Reliance Industries Limited, Mr. Misra successfully led a diverse team comprising individuals from Japanese, Arabic and European backgrounds. His cross-cultural leadership resulted in high levels of employee satisfaction, a testament to his ability to manage teams from various cultures and language groups effectively.

Mr. Misra's academic background has been integral to his professional success. He earned a Master of Business Administration in business administration and management from Colorado State University in 2019. This advanced education provided him with strategic business insights that have informed his approach to market development and organizational leadership. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering in electronics and instrumentation from the Institute of Engineering and Technology, which he completed in 2003. His strong technical foundation has enabled him to excel in roles requiring deep understanding of machine control systems.

In addition to his formal education, Mr. Misra has pursued several certifications that have enhanced his expertise, including MATLAB Onramp and Simulink Onramp from MathWorks, a certificate in applied finance from Colorado State University College of Business and project management professional certification from Project Management Institute.
