ROSEVILLE, CA, September 19, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kimberly Austin has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Austin has established herself as a dedicated financial advisor at RW Baird, beginning her tenure in 2025. In this capacity, she operates as a solo advisor, specializing in serving clients from older millennial and Generation X demographics. Her daily responsibilities include expanding her professional network, prospecting for new clients and promoting her services within the community. She is known for her proactive approach, utilizing various outreach methods, such as engaging with local high schools and sports events attended by her children, as well as leveraging magazines, mailers, events and advertisements to increase her visibility.

Prior to joining RW Baird, Ms. Austin served as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch from 2023 to 2025. During this period, she honed her expertise in asset management and client relations, focusing on the behavioral aspects of finance. She emphasized the importance of understanding client behaviors and mindsets to help them achieve their financial goals. Her approach also involved mentoring clients, recognizing their triggers and weaknesses and providing ongoing support to ensure they remained on track.

In 2023, Ms. Austin held the position of divisional governance associate at Wells Fargo for one year. In this compliance-focused role, she gained valuable insights into regulatory frameworks but ultimately realized that her passion lay elsewhere in the financial sector. During the preceding year, she worked as an internal sales representative at Franklin Templeton, where she developed skills in inbound sales and client communication.

Ms. Austin also served as a financial planning consultant at Equitable Advisors from 2021 to 2022 after her six-year tenure as a branch office administrator at Edward Jones from 2014 to 2021. She also served as an executive assistant at Austin Gibson Sociological Consulting and a bank teller at Washington Mutual. This latter tenure sparked her interest in pursuing a more impactful role within finance after witnessing the transition of Washington Mutual to Chase Bank.

Throughout her professional journey, Ms. Austin has demonstrated remarkable tenacity and resilience. She is particularly proud of achieving success without relying on legacy connections or an inherited client base. Her accomplishments are rooted in hard work, ethical integrity and a commitment to never compromising her values or morals.

Ms. Austin's academic background includes coursework toward a bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus on organizational leadership at Arizona State University. She previously earned an Associate of Arts in general studies from Sacramento City College in 2017. Beyond her education, she attributes much of her success to a mindset that embraces learning from setbacks rather than being deterred by them. Viewing every challenge as an opportunity for growth has enabled her to continually improve and adapt within the evolving landscape of financial services.

Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. Austin is actively involved in civic organizations. She serves as president of the Sacramento Spartans Baseball Club, a nonprofit boys travel baseball team dedicated to youth development through sportsmanship and teamwork. Additionally, she volunteers with My Sister's House, an organization supporting survivors of domestic violence by providing essential services.

Ms. Austin's contributions to her field have been recognized through several distinctions, such as being named a limited partner at Edward Jones during her tenure there. In her personal life, she enjoys spending time with her two children, playing tennis, reading, exploring culinary experiences and traveling.

Looking ahead, Ms. Austin aims to develop her client base further so that active prospecting becomes unnecessary. She also seeks opportunities for collaboration to expand her team and achieve greater balance across all areas of practice. Her commitment to fostering meaningful relationships with clients — viewing them as extended family — underscores the depth of care she brings to every interaction and highlights the values that define both her personal and professional life. She believes that deprioritizing the people aspect of her work would be a disservice to her clients, knowing that putting her clients before financials benefits everyone.
