Her earlier experience includes working as a total family strategy therapist at Suncoast Center, Inc. in Safety Harbor, Florida, from 2021 to 2022, where she supported families through therapeutic interventions aimed at improving overall family dynamics.

She earned a Master of Science in clinical mental health counseling from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale-Davie, Florida, in 2021 and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida, in 2016.

In 2024, she obtained credentials as a certified grief-informed professional and certified clinical trauma professional-II through Evergreen Certifications LLC. In addition, Ms. Ramos-Elvir holds mental health first aid certification for adults from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, HIPAA associate certification from Big Brothers Big Sisters Miami and HIPAA professional certification from the College of Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. She is licensed as a mental health counselor.

She volunteered as a big sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters Miami from 2018 to 2021 and contributed her time to the Haitian Youth and Community Center of Florida Inc. from 2015 to 2016.
