SPRINGFIELD, MA, September 23, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jennifer A. Clark-Harris, MEd, LMHC, LMFT, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Marked by her commitment to advancing neuroaffirming therapy and supporting diverse populations, Ms. Clark-Harris is a prominent figure in mental health counseling, trauma work and human services. In 2025, she assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Jennifer A. Clark-Harris LMHC, LMFT, PLLC in Springfield, Massachusetts. In this capacity, she leads her private practice with a focus on trauma work for individuals, families and couples, as well as providing specialized care for those experiencing Post-traumatic stress disorder, Addiction, Neurodivergence, Dyslexia, eating disorders and Anxiety.
Prior to founding her own practice, Ms. Clark-Harris served as an outpatient clinician at River Valley Counseling Center Inc. from 2023 to 2025. During this time, she provided therapeutic services to a broad client base and further honed her skills in trauma-informed care. From 2022 to 2023, she held a similar role at Clearview Health & Wellness Group in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, where she continued her work with individuals and families navigating complex mental health challenges.
Before transitioning fully into Mental Health counseling, Ms. Clark-Harris built a successful career in real estate in New York City. She was a Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker at BOND Realty from 2017 to 2021 as well as the Chief Executive Officer and Licensed Real Estate Broker for Brownstone Clark LLC from 2014 to 2017. In each of these roles, she managed property portfolios and oversaw operations related to Landlordship and Commercial Estate management.
Ms. Clark-Harris' early professional experience includes more than a decade as a social worker for the State of Connecticut from 2004 to 2015. During this period, she provided critical support services to children and families within the foster care system and consulted with psychologists and psychiatrists to develop treatment plans. She also spent two years as an outpatient clinician at Wheeler Clinic in New Britain, Connecticut, where she treated patients dealing with substance abuse and mental health challenges. Her leadership abilities were evident early on when she oversaw activities and programs for students and their families as a site coordinator for the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) of Greater Worcester (now YMCA of Central Massachusetts) and as the campus director for Citizen Schools.
Equally passionate about furthering her professional development and industry engagement, Ms. Clark-Harris is an Alumni Honors member of the Cambridge College Chapter of The National Society of Leadership and Success and maintains active memberships with the American Psychological Association and the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Mental Health Counselors Association. Also recognized as a Clinical Fellow member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, she is further affiliated with the Real Estate Board of New York, the New York Metro Chapter of Mental Health Counselors Association, the Connecticut Association of Foster and Adoptive Parents and the National Association of Professional Women.
Much of Ms. Clark-Harris' expertise and leadership acumen stems from her equally robust academic background. Currently pursuing doctoral coursework in Counseling Psychology at National University, she previously earned a Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from Cambridge College, graduating magna cum laude in 2013. She also holds a Master of Science in Human Services with a focus on Organizational Leadership and Management from Springfield College, graduating Cum Laude in 2004. Her academic foundation began with a Bachelor of Arts in American history from Clark University, where she also served as Cultural Chairperson of the Black Student Union and participated in the Women of Color Poetry Group.
Ms. Clark-Harris' commitment to continuous learning is further demonstrated by her numerous certifications in both real estate and mental health services. A member of the American Psychological Association through 2026, she is licensed as both a Marriage and Family Therapist and a Mental Health Clinician by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Earlier in her journey, she was certified as a Licensed Real Estate Broker and in Commercial Real Estate by the New York Real Estate Institute and the New York Department of State's Division of Licensing Services.
Though her storied career counts many milestones, Mr. Clark-Harris is proud of obtaining her licenses as both a mental health clinician and marriage and family therapist despite delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic; she completed her exam in 2021 but did not receive her license until 2023 before earning a marriage and family therapist license in 2024. These achievements represent pivotal moments that allowed her to supervise others and teach within her field — roles that had previously been inaccessible without licensure. She takes particular pride in witnessing transformative moments with patients when meaningful conversations lead to lasting change for them and their families.
To commemorate her outstanding dedication and compassion for patient care, Ms. Clark-Harris was honored with an appreciation award from the Father to Father Program at My People Clinical Services Connecticut and received an accolade recognizing six years of volunteer work with the Department of Children and Families State of Connecticut-UCONN Medical Student Shadow Day Host Program/Western Connecticut State University Psychology Internship Programs.
Born in Manhattan, Ms. Clark-Harris is devoted to her three daughters with whom she cherishes spending time engaging in their activities. As a balance to her professional and civic endeavors, she enjoys going to the beach, hiking, knitting, gardening, learning new skills and swimming.
In the coming years, Ms. Clark-Harris aims to bring neuroaffirming environments and services into greater prominence, ensuring equity for individuals navigating neurodiversity while equipping providers with essential education for effective outreach. She envisions creating safe spaces that promote equity for women, minority communities and those affected by generational trauma, empowering them toward self-nurture healing and healthy progress. Additionally, she aspires to establish her PLLC as a "Kaleidoscope…Where the healing begins.", a company that will offer Neuroaffirming, BIPOC focused therapies and specialized support for individuals coping with trauma. Her past achievements and future goals alike reflect a longstanding legacy of resilience, empathy and unwavering support for individuals of all backgrounds in pursuing their own dreams.
