Mr. Norton began his career in insurance in 1982 upon graduation from Georgia Tech. Mr. Norton has had an extensive entrepreneurial career. In 2000, he expanded his business by founding NSURE Network, a company dedicated to partnering with real estate firms to provide solutions to their buyers. He also helped establish and grow Georgia Agency Partners in 2013, where he once held the position of chairman. Through this organization, he promoted collaboration among independent agencies throughout Georgia, strengthening their collective market presence and advocating for shared success.

In 2014, Mr. Norton founded RealProtect, a national insurance broker that specializes in working with residential real estate investors all over the world. He continues to serve today as chief executive officer and leading salesperson. Two years later, he launched CompareRates.com, where he has overseen the development of an online platform designed to simplify the process of comparing insurance rates for consumers and businesses alike. He also serves as executive chairman of Legacy Risk Solutions since 2021. Legacy is a nationally ranked agency group independent insurance partners that continues to grow its partner model of ownership.

Most recently, in 2022, Mr. Norton founded Agent Protect, further expanding his influence within the industry by offering specialized "work comp" like coverage to real estate agents who otherwise are ineligible for this form of coverage. Throughout his career and many entrepreneurial projects, he has been recognized as an expert in insurance, and continues to build his robust system of support for local, independent insurance agencies.

Mr. Norton's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in management from Georgia Institute of Technology, earned in 1982. Beyond his education, he attributes much of his success to the values instilled in him by his parents during formative years spent learning about business ethics and interpersonal relationships around the family dinner table. These early lessons have shaped his collaborative approach and dedication to fostering mutual success among colleagues and partners.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Norton has demonstrated a strong commitment to civic engagement. He is a past chairman of both the March of Dimes and the Georgia Young Agent Committee within the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia. Additionally, he is involved with Rotary Club International, and a past youth league coach in his community.

On a personal level, Mr. Norton is most proud of his five children and six grandchildren, considering them among his greatest achievements. In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym and playing golf and tennis with his family.
