MEMPHIS, TN, September 25, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rod Duttweiler has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Duttweiler currently serves as an independent consultant on cross-cultural missions and leadership with Faith and Learning International NFP, a role he has held since 2021. In this capacity, he assists two organizations, including the African Strategic Discipleship Movement. His work centers on supporting African leaders and pastors by teaching discipleship and leadership skills, emphasizing approaches rooted in kindness and care rather than manipulation or exploitation. Through his guidance, Mr. Duttweiler seeks to foster ethical and compassionate leadership within church communities.

From 1998 to 2014, Mr. Duttweiler was the regional director for Africa at United World Mission. During this period, he provided strategic oversight and support to teams across the continent, focusing on leadership development, church planting, and cross-cultural collaboration. His responsibilities included mentoring both local and international leaders, facilitating partnerships and ensuring the effective implementation of organizational goals.

Mr. Duttweiler also served as the Team Leader for Senegal for the United World Mission from 1998 to 2010. During his tenure, he led teams composed of both Senegalese nationals and American missionaries, as well as multinational groups that included pastors and leaders from various backgrounds. His earlier time in Senegal, West Africa, spanned more than two decades, during which he held numerous leadership positions. He is particularly proud of his efforts in equipping leaders holistically and fostering unity among diverse groups.

In addition, Mr. Duttweiler co-founded a leadership development community in South Africa in 2012 alongside Gabe Smith. Together, they established East Mountain South Africa, a nonprofit organization dedicated to holistically training leaders in Theology, Christian Identity, and Mission through a residency program. This initiative offers participants opportunities to attend classes, engage in practical ministry experiences, and visit various church services where they study theology, deepen their understanding of God and the Bible and reflect on their inner lives. The vision statement guiding Mr. Duttweiler and his wife is "Serve and encourage God's servants around the world." He regards the establishment of East Mountain as his most notable achievement, with the organization continuing to equip leaders holistically for over a decade.

Mr. Duttweiler earned a Bachelor of Arts in Christian education from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, in 1987. His academic background provided a strong foundation for his career in leadership development and cross-cultural missions. During his high school years, he received several accolades for athletic excellence, including earning most valuable player honors in both football and wrestling. In college he was named most respected football player by his teammates.

Mr. Duttweiler attributes his success to his family, his youth pastor from his formative years and his faith in God. Throughout his spiritual journey, he has learned the importance of being faithful in his responsibilities, remaining obedient and striving to serve others—principles that have guided him throughout his professional life. Beyond his professional commitments, he is civically engaged as a volunteer with Mosaic Church Memphis. His dedication to service extends into his personal interests and community involvement.

On a personal level, Mr. Duttweiler enjoys writing poetry, playing the guitar, engaging in meaningful conversations over coffee, walking and staying active. He is the father of one daughter and one son as well as grandfather to three grandchildren. Looking ahead, he plans to publish various works that include accounts of his experiences, insights from experiential learning and emotional reflections on navigating different issues with others. He also intends to share some of his poetry and contribute more articles to the Healthy Leadership Journal. Additionally, together with his wife, he aims to create a space for conversations and shared experiences specifically for men and young parents while pursuing opportunities to write more music for publication.
