With more than 25 years of professional experience, Elgar H. Peerschke is highly regarded for his expertise in health care, organizational and transformational strategies, and executive leadership. Now retired from corporate practice, he has served as an independent consultant since 2021, leveraging his comprehensive background to advise mid- to large-sized organizations and biotech firms on strategic and transformative initiatives.

Previously serving Sobi as its chief transformational officer between 2019 and 2021, Mr. Peerschke was noteworthy for leading the company's transformation, positioning it among the top biotech companies. Likewise, between 2014 and 2017, he served as the senior vice president of customer relations at IQVIA in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. Earlier in his career, Mr. Peerschke possessed a longstanding tenure with Bain & Company from 2003 to 2014, serving the firm as the managing director of the health care practice. In this role, he acted as a senior partner, contributing immensely to the firm's growth in the field of health care and maintaining responsibility for leading strategic, organizational and operational improvements for clients in the biopharmaceutical arena. He also led 100-day plans and integration projects for innovative engineering firms.

Furthermore, Mr. Peerschke was a senior principal in the health care practice of McKinsey & Company beginning in 1990, where, for over a decade, he was a crucial component of several high-profile projects. Among these, he is acclaimed for his involvement in the privatization of Argentina's national oil company, Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales, in 1993, underscoring his ability to enact organizational transformation amid complex, international changes and emerging as a milestone of his career. Mr. Peerschke commenced his career in 1988 as a senior oil and gas group associate at Wasserstein Perella & Co., where he remained until 1990.

Mr. Peerschke graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, with a Bachelor of Arts in political science, with a minor in economics, from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, in 1977. Subsequently, he attended the Stern School of Business at New York University and earned a Master of Business Administration, Beta Gamma Sigma, with a concentration in finance, in 1981.

In accounting for his success, Mr. Peerschke credits the valuable guidance and advice he received in his formative years. Outside his professional ventures, he enjoys skiing, playing golf and tennis, and spending time with his family, which includes his wife and daughter. He advises emerging professionals on the significance of networking and cultivating lasting relationships with others, emphasizing that it is integral to pay it forward by passing wisdom down to future generations.
