MAPLE HEIGHTS, OH, September 29, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Danielle D. Green-Welch, M.Ed., Ed.S,, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mrs. Green-Welch has spent decades meaningfully impacting lives as an advocate, educator and leader in youth services and community engagement. Her professional journey is marked by a steadfast commitment to supporting at-risk and system-engaged youth, particularly those impacted by foster care, juvenile justice and mental health.

In her current capacity as the outreach program director at Kent State University, Mrs. Green-Welch oversees foster care initiatives and programs serving gang-impacted youth and young adults. She supervises staff, plans programming, secures funding and sustains the budget for these critical efforts. Also responsible for program recruitment and retention, she conducts vital outreach initiatives to connect community stakeholders with university programs.

Mrs. Green-Welch engages directly with youth and families, frequently speaking about the enterprises at Kent State University. She has developed a caregiver engagement model utilized within foster youth programs that focuses on sustaining legal permanency for young people who have experienced trauma, helping them remain in stable homes. Additionally, she conducts training for professionals serving similar populations, emphasizing the creation of culturally responsive programming and curriculums as well as trauma-informed practices for staff and volunteers.

Alongside her role at Kent State University, Mrs. Green-Welch serves as a curriculum and policy consultant at the R. A. Vernon Christian Academy, where she continues to influence early childhood education through her expertise in program development and policy guidance.

In 2003, Mrs. Green-Welch founded Dreamkeepers, an organization dedicated to mentorship, motivational speaking, training and professional coaching for at-risk youth and organizations working with at-risk populations. The company focuses on goal setting, moral character development, financial capabilities and self-esteem for populations affected by foster care, juvenile justice and homelessness. Under her leadership, Dreamkeepers has developed sustainable partnerships with public housing authorities and community organizations to create comprehensive solutions for housing and better service delivery for transition-age individuals. Her caregiver engagement model has been recognized by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption for its effectiveness and potential for replication in other foster youth serving programs across the United States.

Prior to her current roles, Mrs. Green-Welch served five years each at the Cuyahoga County Division of Children and Family Services and the Ohio Department of Youth Services. Both of these positions gave her valuable firsthand experience with the challenges faced by system-involved young people and their families, further informing her advocacy work.

From 2004 to 2011, Mrs. Green-Welch worked with Maple Heights City School District. During this period, she observed teachers bringing in extra food and clothing to help students from low-income families — many of whom were involved with the foster care system or had parents working late hours — which inspired her to launch Dreamkeepers as an out-of-school initiative that was later utilized with the 21st Century Community Learning Center in the district.

Mrs. Green-Welch's professional affiliations reflect her longstanding dedication to community service and leadership within her field. She is a financial and lifetime member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., initiated into the Gamma Nu Chapter at Indiana University in 1993. She has served as president of the Student Public Relations Society at Ursuline College and works collaboratively with the National Council of Jewish Women in Greater Cleveland as well as the Ohio Independent Living Association. Furthermore, she was an advisor for the Ohio Youth Advisory Board and an appointed member of the advisory group for the State of Ohio Department of Education and Workforce in the development of the post-custody foster youth program. This advisory board was chartered for two years, and tasked with drafting a program to serve aged out foster youth based on Ohio House Bill 50.

Devoted to the ideals of continuous learning, Mrs. Green-Welch is currently all but dissertation for her Doctor of Education in interprofessional leadership with a focus on curriculum and instruction at Kent State University. She is furthering an impressive academic background that includes an education specialist degree in curriculum and instruction from Liberty University in 2015, a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from University of Phoenix in 2007 and a bachelor's degree in public relations from Ursuline College in 2003. To augment her qualifications, she is certified as an instructor by the Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Association; Dreamkeepers is also recognized as a training organization by this association.

Along with her education, Mrs. Green-Welch attributes much of her success to her faith and passion for helping others. She also credits her early experiences working in urban school settings with shaping her understanding and career path toward advocacy rather than traditional education roles. Beyond her professional commitments, she participates in various outreach activities as an active member of her church community.

In honor of the remarkable impact she has made on young individuals and families throughout her career, Mrs. Green-Welch received the National Brilliance Award from First Star, Inc. in 2022 and was named an Outstanding Community Partner by Bessie's Angels (Cleveland, OH) in 2019. She was further recognized with the Purple Project Leaf Award in 2017 and the Make It Happen Award for her work with Cuyahoga County Division of Children and Family Services in 2016.

Also a sought-after public speaker and trainer, Mrs. Green-Welch has contributed to national dialogue on youth homelessness as a presenter at the National Alliance to End Homelessness National Conference in Washington, D.C., and delivers approximately 30 trainings annually through Dreamkeepers.

Happily married and a proud mother of two sons, Mrs. Green-Welch enjoys shopping, going to the spa, traveling, writing, hosting big family dinners and participating in activities with her sorority as a balance to her professional responsibilities.

Looking ahead, Mrs. Green-Welch aims to complete her dissertation and obtain a Doctor of Education at Kent State University in May 2026. She is also working on her first book titled "Nobody Told Me the Rules Changed," which will share many of the lessons she has learned throughout her life's journey. In the higher education realm, she intends to expand initiatives supporting marginalized students at Kent State and assist other colleges, universities or post-secondary institutions in replicating sustainable housing and support models that enhance support retention. Her past achievements and future goals alike reflect her unwavering determination to help at-risk youth find health, happiness and success.
