LACEY, WA, October 01, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Roland Nnubia Awah has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected based on current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Awah has established a distinguished career marked by leadership, resilience and a commitment to service across both the public and private sectors. In 2025, he founded LionBridge Partners, where he serves as founder and president. Drawing on his extensive background in operations, management and strategic planning, Mr. Awah assembled a team to help grow the business, aiming to channel his experiences and aspirations developed over two decades of military service.

Prior to launching LionBridge Partners, Mr. Awah held the position of lead TSA supervisor with the United States Department of Homeland Security from 2024 to 2025. In this capacity, he was responsible for overseeing security operations and ensuring compliance with federal regulations at transportation hubs. His leadership contributed to the safety and efficiency of critical infrastructure during a period of heightened national security awareness.

For the preceding three years, Mr. Awah worked as a private equity associate for a private equity investor. During this time, he gained valuable experience in financial analysis, investment strategies and portfolio management. This role deepened his understanding of Wall Street and financial markets, skills he sought to develop after leaving military service and while focusing on caring for his children.

Mr. Awah's professional journey is deeply rooted in his military service with the U.S. Army, which spanned from 2000 to 2021. His early years include time as a cadet in the Rutgers University Army Reserve Officers Training Corps from 2003 to 2006, before serving as assistant brigade operations officer and platoon leader.

Between 2009 and 2011, while on a combat deployment tour in Iraq, Mr. Awah was an officer in charge of the special housing unit, followed by his role as battalion public affairs officer for the following two years. He continued his ascent as brigade chemical, biological, radiological nuclear & explosives (CBRNE) defense officer from 2013 to 2014 and commander of the weapons of mass destruction civil support team from 2014 to 2015 where he led a 22-member hazmat-certified unit supporting FEMA and state missions, executing over 100+ multi-agency incident responses and consequence management.

One of Mr. Awah's most significant achievements occurred during his tenure as company commander for basic combat training from 2015 to 2017. Over an eighteen-month period, he led training cycles impacting more than twenty-five thousand personnel, each cycle consisting of a little over two hundred and fifty recruits. He also established collaborative teams with his elite drill sergeants to ensure training was conducted safely, effectively and improved graduation rates from 60% to 96%.

Drawing near the end of his military service, Mr. Awah subsequently served as division operations and tasking officer from 2017 to 2018, a second company commander duty from 2018 to 2019 and chief brigade current operations from 2019 to 2021. Throughout his military career, he demonstrated exceptional courage and perseverance, notably overcoming personal adversity during combat water survival training exercises despite not knowing how to swim before joining the Army. At age twenty-five, he mastered advanced swimming techniques required by Army Rangers, an accomplishment that remains one of his proudest milestones.

Mr. Awah's academic credentials include a Master of Science in environmental management from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences with a minor in chemistry from Rutgers University, completed in 2005 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He has furthered his expertise through membership in the United States Army Chemical Corps and the Chemical Corps Regimental Association.

The drive that has propelled Mr. Awah throughout his life was shaped by formative experiences in his home country of Cameroon and the loss of his father at age 18, an experience that deeply shaped him. Having spent the final year and a half by his father's side, he emerged with a determination to succeed without the guidance he once relied on. This resilience became a defining force as he pursued his goals in the United States and during his military service. He was further influenced by family members who modeled his leadership and resilience. Inspired by his grandfather's success as a businessman and commitment to education, Mr. Awah has consistently pursued excellence while adapting to new challenges since immigrating to the United States in 1999.

Mr. Awah's exemplary military service has been recognized with several honors, including the Bronze Star Medal awarded by the U.S. Army in 2010, Meritorious Service Medals (MSM), Army Commendation Medals (2OLC), Army Achievement Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal (2OLC), Army Service Ribbon, and Oversees Service Ribbon (With Bronze Numeral "2").

Looking ahead, he is dedicated to expanding LionBridge Partners nationwide through government contracting initiatives while continuing the high standards of excellence that have defined his career.

Outside of work, Mr. Awah enjoys spending time with his wife, who together have been married for 21+ years and their three amazing children, who are 20-year-old twins (son and daughter), and a 5-year-old daughter. Mr. Awah frequently enjoys playing soccer with his children, hiking, running and reading. He is also civically engaged as president of his daughter's parents' teacher's council.
