Before relocating to Tennessee, Mrs. Stout contributed her skills as a senior designer at Goodmans Interior Structures in Phoenix, Arizona, from 2019 to 2020 and as a senior designer at Faciliteq Tempe between 2016 and 2019. Among other notable roles, she worked for companies like WORKspaces, Interior Solutions and Concert Architectural Interiors. She began her career in this sector with Copenhagen-Denmark International Furniture in 1996. Even before entering the workforce full-time, Mrs. Stout contributed to her mother's design business during high school by participating in showcase house projects and completing a two-year internship at the Chicago Merchandise Mart. After graduating from high school with a vocational scholarship in interior design, Mrs. Stout attended Northern Arizona University on additional academic scholarships. She graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in interior design.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Mrs. Stout is deeply committed to community service and her faith, a value shared with her husband. While living in Arizona, they regularly volunteered with The Salvation Army through soup kitchens during Thanksgiving and supported the Angel Tree program. They also assisted local churches hosting overnight shelters for the homeless by providing essentials like socks and hats. Since relocating to rural Tennessee, Mrs. Stout continues giving back by donating toys for children at local abuse centers and supporting organizations like Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital and Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Her civic involvement extends to fostering dogs awaiting permanent placement through rescue organizations.
