Earlier in her career, Ms. Burris served over a decade with Broadway Bank. She served over a decade as avp webmaster/multimedia developer in marketing, where she created corporate communications including corporate website and intranet, training programs for employees and customers, and dynamic interactive tools for employees - earning the Chairman's Award for Excellence in 2013. Prior to that, she worked independently with Fortune 500 clients such as Mary Kay, JCPenney, and Dr Pepper, creating multimedia assets, interactive experiences, and corporate training programs. She also founded Bluebird Multimedia, where she built a reputation for creative direction, production management, and pioneering work in interactive media.

Ms. Burris' ability to continually adapt, learn new tools, and take on challenges has fueled her success across industries. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising Design from Texas Woman's University and is an active member of the Professional Photographers Association and Alamo City Studios. Her contributions to creative culture extend to collaborations with organizations like the McNay Art Museum, The Tobin Center, Seneca Iroquois National Museum, and Texposition, Central Texas World's Fair of Innovation and Creativity.

In 2025, Ms. Burris received the Independent Publisher Award (IPPY) Bronze Medal for Best Regional E-book for Pioneer Handbook: Mastering Frontier Life in Orleans County, New York. Her work has reached thousands across social platforms, where her modern fables and cultural reflections have resonated widely with audiences in the U.S. and abroad.
