Ms. Rodríguez Pérez has distinguished herself as a founding partner at Pierson Ferdinand LLP in Miami, Florida, since the firm's historic launch in 2024. As such, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the firm's direction and reputation, particularly in international arbitration and commercial and investor-state arbitration. Ms. Rodríguez Pérez assists clients with urgent legal matters, prepares for trials and final arbitration hearings and collaborates closely with co-counsels and firms throughout Latin America. She notably serves as the Chair of the Latin American Practice for the firm, fielding daily inquiries from colleagues and connecting with professionals across the region to provide specialized expertise. Additionally, Ms. Rodríguez Pérez organizes mini-conferences and resources for clients, focusing on negotiation strategies and defending positions in international disputes, primarily where American legal processes differ significantly from those in Latin America or Europe.

Apart from her leading role as a founding partner, Ms. Rodríguez Pérez has served as the chair of the Latin American practice at Pierson Ferdinand LLP April 2025. Her contributions have been instrumental in expanding the firm's reach and influence across Latin America. Ms. Rodríguez Pérez's leadership has been marked by her ability to manage complex cases involving state-owned enterprises and multinational corporations, as well as her commitment to fostering strong professional relationships throughout the region.

Before joining her current firm, Ms. Rodríguez Pérez was a partner at FisherBroyles LLP from 2021 to 2024. Her tenure was characterized by her dedication to client service and her ability to navigate complex cross-border legal issues. Between 2019 and 2020, Ms. Rodríguez Pérez served as an attorney at Shutts & Bowen LLP. This role followed five years at Hogan Lovells from 2014 to 2019, where she was part of the team that represented major companies including Pfizer and collaborated with partners in Hogan Lovells Washington, D.C. office on legal matters concerning Cuba after the reopening of the U.S. embassy under President Obama. At Hogan Lovells, Ms. Rodríguez Pérez also represented state-owned companies, including Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) and its subsidiaries, PetroEcuador, and Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) and its subsidiaries in cross-border transactions, litigation in the United States and international arbitrations.

Ms. Rodríguez Pérez's academic background is both extensive and international in scope. She completed a Licenciada en Derecho degree (Juris Doctor equivalent) at the Universitat de Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain, in 2008, followed by a Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida, in 2010. After moving from Cuba to Spain at age 16 to study law, she attended both law schools simultaneously for a year and a half, studying during the day in Barcelona while taking courses on American law at night. Ms. Rodríguez Pérez completed eight years of law school (5 years in Spain and 3 in the United States) before being admitted to practice by the Florida Bar.

Throughout her career, Ms. Rodríguez Pérez has demonstrated exceptional leadership within professional organizations. She chaired the Foreign Legal Consultant Committee of the International Law Section of The Florida Bar, where she reviewed applications from foreign attorneys seeking certification as foreign legal consultants in Florida. She also led the efforts to amend The Florida Bar's rules governing foreign legal consultants by presenting proposed changes to the Board of Governors of The Florida Bar. Ms. Rodríguez Pérez also served as an Executive Council member of the organization for more than eight years. Moreover, she is actively involved with Club Español e Iberoamericano de Arbitraje, currently establishing its Texas chapter following her recent relocation.

Civic engagement has been a consistent theme throughout Ms. Rodríguez Pérez's career. She has volunteered with Legal Aid Service of Broward County, providing pro bono immigration law services. She has also assisted Catholic Charities USA and participated in volunteer opportunities with Camillus House to serve the homeless in Miami-Dade. Ms. Rodríguez Pérez has further contributed scholarly work to her field as the author of 'The Development of the Cuba-United States Relationship,' published in The International Law Quarterly in 2016.

Ms. Rodríguez Pérez's commitment to public service has been recognized through several awards, including one from the International Law Section of The Florida Bar. She was also named Attorney of the Month by Broward Lawyers Care Legal Aid Service of Broward County in 2015 and was just named among Latin America's Top 100 Female Lawyers by Lantinvex.

Looking ahead, Ms. Rodríguez Pérez is focused on expanding Pierson Ferdinand LLP's Latin American practice while continuing to provide exceptional service to clients. She aims to strengthen the firm's presence in Latin America and is committed to supporting Spanish arbitration initiatives in Texas alongside ongoing involvement with The Florida Bar's International Section.
