Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Williams has demonstrated unwavering dedication to uplifting others through innovation, mentorship and community service.

CHICAGO, IL, October 14, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Albert L. Williams Sr. has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Born in Demopolis, Alabama, in 1952, Mr. Williams spent his formative years in Chicago after his mother relocated the family during the Great Migration. Settling on the West Side of the city, he experienced firsthand the challenges and opportunities of urban life, living near extended family before starting school in West Lawndale. His childhood was marked by significant historical events, including the presence of Martin Luther King Jr. in his neighborhood visits to Stone Temple Church where he gave speeches about civil rights and witnessing the aftermath of national tragedies such as the assassinations of John F. Kennedy and Dr. King. These experiences deeply influenced his commitment to community service and youth empowerment.

Since 2005, Mr. Williams has served as president and the chief executive officer and founder of Kids Sports Fitness Education, a nonprofit organization created to help fight obesity. Mr. Williams received a United States Code Certificate of Registration under the Copyright Office for the Change Them Interactive Instructional Basketball Word Book he authored first published and copyright 2005., the book teaches children about nutrition, health, responsibility, friendship, citizenship and basketball.

The EZ Pop Tennis; In this entrepreneurial capacity, he developed this innovative product designed to simplify teaching tennis classes for children, senior citizens and people with disabilities. He is the inventor of EZ Pop Tennis, a mobile tennis screen that enables children in inner-city environments — where access to traditional tennis courts is limited — to learn and enjoy the game. Through this initiative, he aims to foster inclusivity and diversity, providing positive role models and safe recreational opportunities for young people living in under represented communities. Alongside his primary endeavors, Actively promoting these concepts through workshops and social media platforms such as Facebook and LinkedIn, he aims to introduce EZ Pop Tennis into schools, organizations and clubs across the United States with an emphasis on the value of skill development and healthy living.

A highlight of Mr. Williams' career is his extensive involvement with the United States Tennis Association (USTA). As an ambassador, entrepreneur and coach, he has made significant contributions to underserved communities. At the 25th US Open fundraising event, remarkable achievements were made by the Nation USTA. Chicago District Tennis Association participated In 2024 achievements when the National USTA reported its 165 thousand children across 270 locations nationwide received training through clinics where teaching the fundamentals of Tennis 101 Classes. Engaging with EZ Pop Tennis helped USTA - achieve success in Chicago. Due to its global reach and transformative effect on young lives, the creation of this platform stands as his proudest achievement. he is delighted to see that the world's top professional tennis players are involved in a similar product to EZ Pop tennis. This is a proof of concept for him and hopefully the sports industry to invest in EZ POP.

Prior to his current leadership roles, Mr. Williams held several impactful positions across diverse industries. He began his career with the A Phillip Randolph Youth Employment Foundation, Substitute Teacher in high schools, Men's Jr. College Basketball Coach, United States Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Agriculture (USDA) where he served as a program manager. He experienced manufacturing training at Alcoa Industries, where he took great fulfillment in producing parts for automobiles and aircraft. It was fun working for the Oscar Mayer Meats Company making products from start to finish something anyone would enjoy.

Despite finding success in these fields, Mr. Williams' passion remained rooted in education and mentorship. He became a basketball coach at Palmer Junior College in Iowa, guiding high school graduates who aspired to attend college. Additionally, he served as a job counselor with the A. Philip Randolph Youth Employment Program, where he helped young people secure scholarships to college and employment opportunities.

Mr. Williams' public service continued with roles at the United States Department of Defense as a training and development specialist or for civilian and military personnel and as a Youth Motivation Program coordinator for the United States Department of Agriculture in Chicago. In these capacities, he promoted government initiatives within local communities and recruited young talent from colleges across the country to work for government.

Hailing from a highly accomplished educational journey, Mr. Williams attended St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, graduating in 1977 after earning an athletic scholarship to play basketball. During his collegiate career, he was honored as a Hall of Fame player and set a record for the most points scored 56 in a single game. His academic experience provided him with valuable skills in leadership, teamwork and perseverance — qualities that have underpinned his lifelong commitment to youth development.

Mr. Williams' early exposure to sports as an athlete from an underserved neighborhood shaped his approach to mentoring others. Recognized for his talent from an early age, he leveraged his experiences to connect with children facing similar challenges, teaching them about dedication, motivation and responsibility while advocating for healthier lifestyles.

Mr. Williams' civic engagement includes membership in (My CHI My Future) Organization - A Chicago Citywide Organizations representing 77 communities. Chicago Innovations Awards and active participation on community organizations such as having contributed significantly to establishing the Women's Basketball League (WBL) including the Chicago Honey-Bees, the Headquarters Team and five more teams throughout Illinois. He is also affiliated with the Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson Office Programs, the Chicago Mayor's Office of Community Engagement, and Mayors My CHI My Future Citywide Youth Leadership Program.

At age 73, Mr. Williams continues to pursue ambitious goals driven by a sense of purpose and urgency. He aspires to expand EZ Pop Tennis and distribute his "Challenge Them Basketball Work Book" to disenfranchised children in underserved areas — resources designed to inspire self-confidence and perseverance through hard work. He is recognized by Special Olympics loyal supporter, Mr. Williams has developed a strong relationship with Special Olympics organizers in hopes of making the EZ Pop Tennis a training tool for athletes with disabilities.

He remains equally committed to advocating for Title IX — which prohibits sex-based discrimination in educational programs such as sports and curriculum — and supporting women's athletics while seeking new partnerships that will further amplify his impact on youth sports education worldwide.
