Earlier in his career, Roman served as the president of Solonyy Law Group PC from 2016 to 2021, providing legal counsel and representation in various matters and building on his extensive background in law and advocacy.

In addition to his legal work, Roman gained his entrepreneurial experience as a licensed real estate salesperson with Exit Kingdom Realty from 2006 to 2011.

Running Solonyy Law Group, PC and working as a licensed real estate salesperson gave Roman his first entrepreneurial experience and demonstrated the challenges faced by most entrepreneurs when starting and growing their ventures. A lifelong martial artist, Roman has dedicated nearly two decades to teaching Aikido at the New York Yoshinkan Aikido Dojo, embodying discipline, resilience, and self-confidence—values that mirror his personal journey of growth and discovery. His early career in law, serving as a criminal investigator in Ukraine and later as a legal professional in the U.S., reflects his perseverance in facing and overcoming multiple challenges, including language barriers and cultural shifts.

Roman's academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science in criminal law and procedure from Ukraine and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from New York Law School, where he was recognized as a John Marshall Harlan Scholar. His educational journey was marked by perseverance and a commitment to excellence, even when faced with external and personal challenges upon arriving in the U.S.
