In his current capacity as Enterprise Sales Manager at Avalara, Inc., which he has held since 2024, Mr. Mrozek leads the North American Team of seven account executives. He is responsible for guiding strategy, execution and performance across diverse markets throughout North America. His approach emphasizes driving accountability and growth by leveraging customer relationship management systems to track opportunities, optimize deal staging and ensure alignment with ambitious sales targets. Mr. Mrozek balances formal business reviews with frequent informal coaching, fostering a high-performing and highly engaged team environment. He plays a critical role in Avalara's ecosystem of strategic partnerships, collaborating extensively with global systems integrators and the Big Four accounting firms to reinforce Avalara's position as the trusted leader in global indirect tax compliance. His efforts focus on building lasting relationships, closing complex enterprise deals and advancing Avalara's mission to simplify tax compliance worldwide. Working with large organizations that have intricate technical infrastructures, he provides software solutions designed to deliver return on investment, mitigate risk and reduce exposure.

Since 2022, Mr. Mrozek has also served as senior enterprise sales executive at Avalara, Inc., where he continued to drive growth in the enterprise segment by developing new business opportunities and nurturing key client relationships. From 2020 onward, he has additionally held the role of enterprise sales executive at Avalara, Inc., further solidifying his expertise in delivering tailored solutions to clients with complex needs.

Before his tenure at Avalara, Mr. Mrozek was a senior team lead and account executive at LogMeIn (now GoTo) from 2019 to 2020. In this role, he led collaborative software solutions sales efforts following LogMeIn's acquisition of Citrix's GoTo division. He was instrumental in driving growth and building trusted client partnerships during a period of significant organizational change. From 2017 to 2020, he also served as senior corporate account executive at LogMeIn (GoTo), where he focused on delivering the GoToMeeting suite of tools to clients and emphasized the human impact of technology on individual performance and organizational success.

Mr. Mrozek began his association with Citrix (Cloud Software Group, Inc.) as corporate account executive for the Eastern emerging markets from 2016 to 2017. Here, he contributed to expanding Citrix's reach in new markets by providing cloud-based collaboration solutions.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Mrozek was the academic outreach and collaborations manager at SAS: Data and AI Solutions, SAS Institute, Inc., from 2014 to 2015. In this capacity, he managed partnerships with academic institutions. He promoted the adoption of advanced analytics tools in higher education settings, a role that reinforced his belief in the importance of treating people as if they make a difference.

From 2010 to 2013, Mr. Mrozek served as inside account manager at Lenovo, where he developed foundational skills in technology sales and business development that would shape his long-term success. His professional journey began as a corporate services intern at SAS: Data and AI Solutions, a division of SAS Institute, Inc., in 2008. Upon concluding his time at Lenovo, Mr. Mrozek relocated to Southeast Asia in 2013 to pursue a Foreign Service Officer position with the US State Department.

Among his most notable achievements is his recognition as the top-selling enterprise account executive on the East Coast for LogMeIn in 2018, a distinction earned during a year marked by both personal and professional milestones. Anticipating an extended paternity leave following the birth of his first son, Mr. Mrozek proactively managed key deals in progress. He maintained strong client relationships through direct communication and strategic planning. His forward-looking approach ensured seamless continuity during his absence and resulted in exceeding performance expectations.

Mr. Mrozek's educational background includes a bachelor's degree in business and corporate communications from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, conferred in 2009. During his senior year at North Carolina State University, he completed a pivotal internship with SAS Institute, Inc., which set the stage for his future career in technology sales despite economic challenges that prevented immediate full-time employment there.

He has pursued ongoing professional development through several certifications, including SAS Programming II: Data Manipulation Techniques through the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) in 2015, SAS Programming I: Essentials through the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) in 2014, a meeting facilitator certification from Development Dimensions International, Inc., and a TESOL certification from Asia Language Corp (now Maximo Nivel). These credentials have enhanced his technical proficiency and ability to facilitate effective communication across diverse teams.

Mr. Mrozek attributes his sustained success to perseverance, attention to detail and being coachable, qualities that have enabled him to adapt to changing environments while consistently achieving ambitious goals.

His family roots trace back to New York, with his mother from Brooklyn and his father from Long Island. They settled in North Carolina when his father accepted a faculty position at North Carolina State University after earning a dual doctorate in philosophy there. Raised in North Carolina, Mr. Mrozek was a competitive hockey player who left home at age seventeen to play junior hockey in the Northeast before continuing at the collegiate level.

Civically engaged since 2009 as a volunteer with Wheels 4 Hope, Mr. Mrozek demonstrates a commitment to giving back to the community alongside his professional pursuits.

Throughout his career at Avalara, Inc., Mr. Mrozek has received numerous accolades, including No. 1 in strategic product sales, No. 1 net new logo wins, top AvaTax representative, 1 million dollar revenue achiever, President's Club honors in both 2021 and 2023, as well as one hundred percent quota attainment for three consecutive years. Earlier recognition includes being named a SAS scholarship winner by SAS Institute, Inc., in 2008.

Outside of work, Mr. Mrozek enjoys spending time with family, including two children, going on bike rides with his son, playing video games together, vacationing and visiting the beach. He looks forward to planning a sports stadium tour with his son, which will include attending college football games across different cities by train, while sharing memorable experiences over dinner outings.

Professionally, Mr. Mrozek remains focused on navigating changes and growth opportunities within Avalara while striving toward further recognition, such as achieving another President's Club award, an honor accompanied by an all-inclusive trip for him and his wife to Thailand.
