CHEVY CHASE, MD, October 10, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cynthia Rose Bryant, JD, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Ms. Bryant has established a distinguished career spanning three decades, marked by her commitment to public service, advocacy and leadership in both governmental and nonprofit sectors. Since 2023, she has served as an independent consultant, leveraging her extensive expertise in diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as mediation and legal strategy, to advise organizations and individuals. In this capacity, Ms. Bryant leverages her background in law and conflict resolution to address complex workplace challenges and promote inclusive environments.

Between 2017 and 2022, Ms. Bryant served as a special counsel in the Office of Workplace Diversity at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in Washington, D.C., where she advanced policies promoting equal opportunity and addressed employment matters through mediation and negotiation. From 2012 to 2017, she contributed to the leadership and management of special projects within the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau's front office at the FCC. She played a pivotal role in shaping consumer policy and enhancing organizational effectiveness.

Affiliated with the FCC for nearly two decades, Ms. Bryant previously served as a senior legal advisor in the Office of Native Affairs and Policy from 2010 to 2012. She worked closely with Native American communities nationwide and traveled extensively to ensure these communities could access broadband connections. Ms. Bryant's earlier roles at the FCC included attorney positions in both the Enforcement Bureau's telecommunications consumers division between 2004 and 2010 and the International Bureau's Telecommunications Policy Division from 2001 to 2004. In these capacities, she enforced provisions of the Telecommunications Act, contributed to international mergers and acquisitions and participated in special projects, such as the Digital TV Transition between 2008 and 2009.

Ms. Bryant began her federal career as an attorney in the FCC's Enforcement Bureau's telecommunications division from 1999 to 2001, following her service as an attorney and policy advisor to the Presidential Task Force on Employment of Adults with Disabilities in Washington, D.C., in 1999. Before her federal service, she worked as an attorney with the Missouri Public Service Commission between 1996 and 1999.

Apart from her primary roles, Ms. Bryant served as the chair of the board of trustees for The Seeing Eye Inc. in Morristown, New Jersey, from 2022 to 2024. During her tenure, she provided strategic oversight for one of the nation's leading guide dog schools, championing accessibility initiatives and representing the organization at high-profile events. Notably, M. Bryant spoke before NASDAQ and rang the closing bell in 2024 in celebration of The Seeing Eye's 95th anniversary.

Ms. Bryant's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in creative arts with a concentration in piano performance and a minor in French from Bradford College, awarded in 1984. She later earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Kansas in 1994 and a Master of Laws in international legal studies from American University in Washington, D.C., in 2003. Ms. Bryant was admitted to practice by the Missouri and the D.C. Bar Associations and the Supreme Court of the United States. She also received certifications in mediation and negotiation from Harvard Negotiation Institute, certification in mediating disputes and in conflict coaching from Pepperdine University, certification in leadership and management from the DYLA Leadership Program and Graduate School USA, and, among other credentials, received credentials as a diversity practitioner through the Institute for Diversity Certification Inc. She is an African American Federal Executive Association fellow.

Active in her professional sphere, Ms. Bryant holds membership in several industry-related organizations, including the National Association of Corporate Directors, the Virtual Speakers Association and the Association for Conflict Resolution. Her civic engagement includes membership and volunteer roles in literacy programs, scholarship initiatives, and meal programs for people experiencing homelessness through The Women's Club of Chevy Chase, joining Women Making Change, LLC to connect and empower women of all backgrounds across generations, board membership with the National Industries for the Blind, and participation on the alum advisory diversity council at the school of law at the University of Kansas.

Ms. Bryant's thought leadership is reflected through the authorship of "Networking: My Legal Journey Thus Far," published by the American Society of International Law in 2007. She has also delivered keynote speaking engagements, most recently at the 2025 Diversity in Law Banquet at the University of Kansas.

Throughout her tenure, Ms. Bryant has received several accolades, including a People's Choice Award in 2023, recognition as one of the Women Who Inspire by Bethesda Magazine in 2024, and a feature in Washington Lawyer and the University of Kansas Alumni Magazine in 2024.

Ms. Bryant's upbringing instilled a strong sense of service, greatly influenced by her father, a doctor, and her mother, who was actively involved in community initiatives. Looking ahead, she is currently writing a book about sensory mindfulness and empathy, focusing on experiences living within both sighted and blind communities.
