Prior to joining ToYou, Ms. Klaas spent many years in the oil and gas industry and served as the deepwater financial control manager at Maurel & Prom, in Paris, France, from 2019 to 2020. Her tenure there was marked by her leadership in directing pre-drilling preparations for a deepwater exploration project in Namibia, which also involved acting as a liaison between internal executives and the Namibian Ministry of Mines and Energy. From 2018 to 2019, she served as a project manager at NewTech Services, where she honed her skills in managing complex projects and enterprise resource planning assessments.

From 2012 to 2017, Ms. Klaas served as planning and cost efficiency manager at LUKOIL, a Russian vertically integrated oil and gas company. In this role, she was responsible for leading financial planning and driving cost efficiency across multi-million-dollar offshore projects, ensuring disciplined capital allocation, and risk management. This experience laid much of the groundwork for her subsequent positions.

Before that, she worked as a consultant at A.T. Kearney from 2006 to 2011, during which she developed cost optimization solutions for multiple projects in the telecommunications and oil and gas sectors.

Ms. Klaas' early career included successful roles in the financial realm, including as a business analyst at Arthur Andersen LLP from 2001 to 2002 and as a junior financial analyst at Norilsk Nickel from 2000 to 2001. Both of these positions allowed her to gain valuable experience while implementing innovative financial and treasury management approaches for the clients.

Hailing from an equally impressive academic background, Ms. Klaas earned a Master of Business Administration in strategic management and finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2006, one of the world's leading business schools renowned for its rigorous focus on economics, data-driven decision-making, and governance. She also holds a diploma in financial management from Finance University under the Government of the Russian Federation, providing her with a deep understanding of financial systems and regulatory frameworks, obtained in 2003, and a Bachelor of Science in management and business administration from Touro University, completed in 2000, which established her multidisciplinary grounding in international business.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ms. Klaas is actively involved in civic organizations. She served as a troop co-leader for the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council from 2012 to 2014 and again from 2017 to 2022, demonstrating her passion for community service and youth development.

In her personal life, Ms. Klaas is a mother of two children who share her passion for learning and innovation. Her daughter is deeply interested in international relations and politics, while her son is enthusiastic about coding and technology.
