BRONX, NY, October 15, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michal Solan has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Solan has established a distinguished career in graphic design and corporate branding, most notably as director of corporate graphics design at Sun Pharmaceuticals, formerly Taro Pharmaceuticals, a position she has held since 1994. Over the course of three decades, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and regulatory compliance of the company's products. Her responsibilities have included working closely with marketing, regulatory and legal departments to oversee all aspects of labeling, packaging design and submissions to the United States Food and Drug Administration for both prescription and over-the-counter products. She has managed multi-language outsourcing for inserts and packaging, ensuring adherence to strict guidelines for major retailers such as CVS and Walgreens. Additionally, she has been responsible for the company's decor, logo development, trade show presence and booth design—overseeing every art-related aspect of the organization.

Ms. Solan's tenure at Taro Pharmaceuticals began when she and her husband, both art graduates from Israel, joined the company after relocating to the United States in 1991. At that time, Taro was a small enterprise with approximately 30 employees seeking to establish an art department for packaging design. Ms. Solan started with Taro by covering for the designer who left for maternity leave. She was then promoted to manager due to the increasing workload and the need to hire additional graphic designers. Under her leadership, the department expanded to include multimedia projects such as website development. She served as manager while her husband held the position of vice president within their department. Approximately 15 years ago, Taro Pharmaceuticals was acquired by Sun Pharmaceuticals of India, marking a significant milestone in Ms. Solan's career.

Earlier in her professional journey, Ms. Solan spent more than 10 years at an agency in Israel specializing in foreign films. She began as a temporary employee filling in for another staff member but quickly became integral to the agency's operations. Her duties included designing newspaper advertisements for international movies entering the Israeli market during a period when print media was the primary advertising channel.

Throughout her career, Ms. Solan has demonstrated adaptability and expertise that have set her apart in her field. She is particularly proud of her evolution from designer to specialist within the pharmaceutical sector, where her comprehensive knowledge of United States Food and Drug Administration regulations has made her a sought-after authority within her organization. As industry changes brought new personnel into the company, her seniority and experience led colleagues to rely on her insights during critical meetings.

Ms. Solan's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Arts in graphic design from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, Israel, conferred in 1981. This education provided her with both technical proficiency and creative vision that have underpinned her professional achievements.

Her personal journey has been marked by significant transitions that have shaped her character and outlook. The daughter of Holocaust survivors, Ms. Solan was born in Lithuania and moved to Israel in 1966 before immigrating to the United States with her family in 1991. These experiences instilled resilience and adaptability, qualities she credits for her ability to rebuild her life and career across continents.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Solan is dedicated to her family, which includes her husband, two children and grandchildren. She enjoys ballet dancing and traveling—particularly visiting her son in Lisbon, Portugal, and reconnecting with family members in Israel. Looking ahead, she aspires to volunteer and make a meaningful difference by helping those in need. She also hopes to spend more time with her loved ones, enjoy personal pursuits and potentially return to work or serve as a consultant.
