Prior to joining SABIC, Dr. Hule was the Global Market Development Manager at ExxonMobil from 2021 to 2023. During this period, he played a pivotal role in launching new products and expanding market reach, including the introduction of Mobil EV, a product designed for electric vehicles that parallels the well-known Mobil 1 brand. This global launch underscored his ability to translate research and development into commercially successful ventures. Additionally, he managed the scoping, development and launch of immersion coolants - fluids that are considered crucial for effective functioning of data centers, an important market today.

From 2018 to 2021, Dr. Hule served as Business Strategist and Portfolio Leader at ExxonMobil. In this role, he led collaborative research programs with Texas A&M University and The University of Texas at Austin, culminating in a publication in Nature. His leadership extended beyond research as he guided the acquisition of Materia—a company originating from California Institute of Technology—and ExxonMobil's subsequent development of the Proxxima product series. This initiative resulted in a comprehensive $30 billion portfolio for ExxonMobil, reflecting his commitment to transforming research into operational commercial plants and widely used products.

Between 2017 and 2018, Dr. Hule was Senior Marketing Advisor at ExxonMobil, where his strategic insights earned him recognition as Outstanding Marketing Advisor in 2019. From 2015 to 2017, he contributed as a Staff Scientist, following his tenure as a Senior Research Scientist from 2013 to 2015. His impactful work during these years was acknowledged with the Global Research Award in 2016 and the High Impact External Researcher Award in 2015.

Dr. Hule began his industry career as research scientist at RTI International from 2010 to 2013. His early promise was recognized with the Early Career Award in 2010.

Throughout his career, Dr. Hule has been responsible for developing multiple technologies, products, patents and ventures that have achieved commercial success. He is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the American Physical Society and the American Chemical Society since 2003. Dr. Hule's work has led to 40+ patents and peer-reviewed publications over the course of his career.

Dr. Hule's academic background has been instrumental in shaping his approach to innovation and leadership. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Chemical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology, where he gained exposure to advanced research environments that later influenced his corporate achievements. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Delaware and earned a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT), a well-recognized academic hub in this arena.

Dr. Hule's commitment to continuous learning is reflected in certifications from Harvard Business School in Negotiations and Agile Leadership as well as completion of the ExxonMobil Leadership Program.
