Ms. Hamilton has established a distinguished career in federal procurement and compliance, currently serving as senior director of federal procurement at Jacobs since 2024 and prior to that as deputy director and director from 2021 into 2024. In this capacity, she oversees compliance, provides software training to staff and manages communication between subcontractors and the company. Her responsibilities also include capturing requirements from both internal and external clients and transforming them into tangible results. She is recognized for her expertise in training and compliance, which has been instrumental in ensuring the success of complex projects within the organization.
Previously from 2005 to 2021, Ms. Hamilton held the positions of associate, senior procurement professional, and senior supervisor at Jacobs. In these roles, she played a pivotal part in supporting federal government initiatives, including environmental remediation work for agencies such as the Air Force, Army, Navy and Marines. Her tenure was marked by the development of advanced contract and subcontract management skills, which positioned her as a trusted advisor on regulatory matters and project execution.
Before joining Jacobs, Ms. Hamilton worked for a land development and commercial home building company specializing in condominiums in the Denver area. She was also active in the technology sector, serving as a consultant and business analyst at Interlink Group, Incorporated, now Dell Technologies, in 2001, where she consulted on building websites and database solutions for diverse clients. One of her most significant achievements during this time, in the technology sector, project managed the build for a website pro bono for the Lupus Foundation of Colorado at age 28. Despite facing challenges with team dynamics and design preferences, she demonstrated perseverance by making difficult decisions that ultimately led to a successful project outcome. This experience reinforced her commitment to seeing projects through to completion.
Ms. Hamilton's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in English writing from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, earned in 1994. She has also completed coursework in building business acumen through Acumen Learning, further enhancing her strategic decision-making capabilities. Beyond these, she has furthered her expertise with membership in the National Contract Management Association and the Project Management Institute Inc.
As a member of the Women's Network at Jacobs and a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity International, Ms. Hamilton demonstrates a strong commitment to civic engagement and community service. She comes from a family of educators — her father and sister were both teachers — which has influenced her passion for training others within her field. Although not an educator by profession, she takes pride in mentoring colleagues at Jacobs.
In recognition of her advocacy for small businesses, Ms. Hamilton received the Small Business Advocate of the Year award from CH2M HILL in 2009. Overall, she attributes her success to curiosity, collaboration and an understanding of how interdisciplinary work is accomplished, qualities that have defined her approach throughout a dynamic career spanning technology, construction and engineering consulting. She also emphasizes organizational transformation, focusing on improving efficiency, supporting individuals in meeting their needs and enabling others to accomplish essential tasks.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Hamilton enjoys writing poetry and is the mother of two daughters.
