In 2025, Ms. Boone successfully rolled out three major systems, significantly increasing operational efficiency. She manages policy development, regulatory guidance implementation, regulatory research, compliance training, and leads the compliance vendor oversight department. As the resident technical expert, she is integral to evaluating and building new compliance-related technologies.

From 2022 to 2024, Ms. Boone served as the Director of Corporate Compliance at AmeriHealth Caritas. In this role, she was tasked with overseeing high-level compliance initiatives, collaborating with other directors on strategic projects and ensuring that all business units met evolving regulatory requirements.

Between 2018 and 2022, Ms. Boone held dual roles as the Compliance Director and Health Care Risk Manager at AmeriHealth Caritas Florida. In 2018, Ms. Boone was appointed interim Director of Delegation Oversight. She provided critical leadership during a period of transition, ensuring continuity in vendor oversight programs and maintaining high standards for delegated functions. Her expertise in compliance and process improvement was instrumental in streamlining operations and enhancing the company's ability to respond proactively to potential risks.

During her tenure as Manager of Risk Management at AmeriHealth Caritas Florida from 2016 to 2018, she developed comprehensive risk assessment protocols and implemented best practices for incident reporting and resolution.

Prior to joining AmeriHealth Caritas, Ms. Boone spent 10 years at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine as a paralegal investigator from 2006 to 2016. During this period, she played a pivotal role in building systems to capture risk-level incidents within the risk management department. Recognizing opportunities to address patient safety issues such as wrong-site surgeries and medical negligence claims, she helped establish a patient protection program that advocated for patients requiring assistance navigating medical concerns.

Ms. Boone began her career working with the University of Miami from 1995 to 1997 through the Belafonte Tacolcy Center, where she contributed to building databases aimed at capturing cancer research data. Her technical proficiency enabled her to support research into cancer when she returned to the University of Miami in 2002 to 2006 to work with the Florida Cancer Data Systems.

One of Ms. Boone's most significant professional accomplishments occurred when she assisted a terminally ill patient. Through her efforts, she secured the patient's home and created a legacy for her children by setting up annuities and insurance processes, ensuring generational wealth for the family.

Throughout her career, Ms. Boone has been actively involved in industry organizations, including the Health Care Compliance Association and Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics since 2018, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. She has also been affiliated with the National Patient Safety Foundation, where her contributions were recognized with the Patient Safety Poster Presentation Award in 2008.

Ms. Boone's academic achievements have been instrumental in shaping her expertise and advancing her career trajectory. She earned dual master's degrees in health administration (MHA) and Business Administration (MBA) from Florida Atlantic University College of Business in Boca Raton in 2022. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus in Health Care Administration from Barry University in Miami Shores. Ms. Boone's also earned an associate degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Miami Dade College in Miami.

In addition to her formal degrees, Ms. Boone holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Florida Atlantic University, earned in 2021. She also earned a Leadership LINC certificate from Dale Carnegie Training in 2018. She attended the University of South Florida in 2008 and 2015 earning two certifications in Health Care Risk Management. She became an Agency for Health Care Administration licensed Health Care Risk Manager in 2015. In 2007, Ms. Boone attended the University of Miami and earned a certification in Paralegal Studies. She was later recognized by the Florida Bar Association as Florida Registered Paralegal. Earlier in her career, she obtained multiple licenses and professional designations, including credentials in Claims Adjusting, Life Insurance and Annuities, and Notary Public Service.

Mentorship has played a vital role throughout Ms. Boone's life. Inspired by her grandmother, who progressed in her career despite limited formal education, and encouraged by her mother's perseverance through higher education, Ms. Boone credits these women as foundational influences on her values and ambitions. Additional mentors, such as attorney Steven Stark and Dr. Deborah Thenevin, provided guidance that shaped her focus on risk management and compliance and motivated her pursuit of advanced education.

Beyond her professional commitments, Ms. Boone has been dedicated to civic engagement as a volunteer with Girl Power Rocks, a nonprofit organization focused on empowering young women, since 2013.
