Since 2005, she has served as president of Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Hartsville, where her expertise in workforce development has been pivotal in advancing the institution's mission of creating opportunities for professional and personal growth.

Under Ms. Wright's guidance, the college has forged significant partnerships with industry leaders and secured major grants, strengthening both the school's programs and its ties to the broader community. She is particularly proud of her efforts to build these collaborations and enhance workforce opportunities, which have had a lasting impact on students and local businesses alike. To further her impact, she actively serves on several boards to promote the institution's initiatives and ensure that the community remains informed about its contributions and benefits.

Prior to becoming president, Ms. Wright was an assistant director at TCAT Hartsville from 1998 to 2005. In this capacity, she played a key role in administrative operations, supporting the institution's growth and helping to implement strategies that improved student outcomes and the institution's effectiveness in serving the community.

From 1997 to 1998, Ms. Wright held dual responsibilities as student services coordinator and financial administrator at TCAT Hartsville. Her work during this early period focused on managing financial operations and student support services, laying a strong foundation for her subsequent leadership roles.

Ms. Wright began her professional journey at Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, Tennessee, where she gained valuable experience that would inform her later achievements in higher education administration.

Committed to promoting inclusive practices within the workforce development sector, Ms. Wright is an equity representative with the Greater National Regional Council. She also previously served as commissioner for the Council on Occupational Education and is involved with the Tennessee Central Economic Authority, demonstrating her longstanding commitment to professional development and industry engagement.

Hailing from an equally impressive academic background, Ms. Wright earned a master's degree in adult education, curriculum and instruction from Tennessee State University in 1997, which provided her with advanced knowledge in designing effective learning environments for adult learners. Four years earlier, she completed a Bachelor of Arts in management and human relations at Trevecca Nazarene University, equipping her with essential skills in organizational leadership and interpersonal communication.

Dedicated to the ideals of continuous learning, Ms. Wright holds a graduate certificate in community college leadership from East Tennessee State University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education to deepen her expertise in educational leadership.

Along with her education, Ms. Wright attributes much of her success to the talented individuals she has collaborated with throughout her career. The inspiration she draws from colleagues and mentors has continually motivated her pursuit of excellence in every role she has undertaken. She is also immensely grateful for the influence of her parents, who instilled in her the values of integrity, perseverance and combining strength with positivity in the face of adversity.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Ms. Wright has made civic engagement and community service central parts of her life. She serves as vice president and is a board member of Changing Lives One Day at a Time and is a guiding team member for the Tennessee Blue SkillSpan Guiding Team. Furthermore, she is a board member for Hope Family Health and the Wilson County Joint Economic and Development Board as well as a member of the workforce development board for the Trousdale County Senior Citizen Boards.

Also recognized for her outstanding donations to worthy causes, Ms. Wright has received a Paul Harris Fellowship from Rotary International. In honor of her lasting contributions to education, student empowerment and community development, her life and career were spotlighted in a "Woman of Wilson" feature by The Wilson Post in 2024.

Born in Nashville, Ms. Wright remains deeply connected to her roots while maintaining a forward-looking perspective on civic service, student engagement and personal growth. As an established leader in the educational realm and beyond, she intends to continue serving her community through ongoing professional engagement at TCAT Hartsville and looks forward to exploring new destinations and cultures through travel in the future.
