Called in during the early morning hours for an urgent case, he worked alongside a surgical team that was unfamiliar with the level of orthopedic trauma that presented in the OR that night. The lead surgeon on call expressed concerns about managing such a severe fracture, prompting Mr. Brown to offer critical insights and guidance before surgery. His expertise contributed significantly to the successful outcome of the operation.
The surgeon later expressed deep gratitude for Mr. Brown's assistance, and a year later, the patient made a full recovery. Witnessing the patient return to normal life remains one of his most rewarding experiences to date.
Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson MedTech, Mr. Brown was an orthopedic trauma associate sales consultant with IQVIA in 2023. In this position, he gained valuable experience supporting surgical teams and further developed his knowledge of upper and lower extremity orthopedic trauma fractures — a field in which he has since become a recognized expert. From 2022 to 2023, Mr. Brown served as a territory sales manager at Apria, where he managed client relationships, gained valuable clinical knowledge and expanded his understanding of health care sales operations with respiratory therapies and medical devices.
Much of Mr. Brown's success in health care stems from his robust academic background. Initially intending to pursue medical school after completing his undergraduate studies, he chose to deepen his education through a master's program that focused on pre-medical coursework. He earned a Master of Science in biomedical science from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2022, following a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University at Albany and an Associate of Science in biosystems engineering from Fulton-Montgomery Community College in 2019.
While applying to medical schools, Mr. Brown discovered an opportunity in orthopedic trauma sales — a field that resonated with his clinical interests and desire to help others without requiring a medical degree. Influenced by his father's successful career in pharmaceutical sales, he leveraged his scientific background and thrived in the new role despite having limited sales experience.
Throughout his career, Mr. Brown has become known for his exceptional dedication and skill within orthopedic trauma care. He attributes his success to hard work and perseverance — qualities that have enabled him to excel in high-pressure environments and deliver outstanding results for both patients and surgical teams. In recognition of his professional accomplishments, he has received several accolades including an award for Top Growth for Foot and Ankle Sales in the United States in 2024 and induction into the President's Club in 2025.
Also known for his contributions as a civic-minded citizen, Mr. Brown is a volunteer with The AO Trauma Foundation (North America), supporting educational initiatives for surgeons and residents within the orthopedic community. In his personal life, he enjoys golfing, running, fishing and skiing as a balance to his professional responsibilities.
