As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Dr. McKee is noted for her dedication to ministering to the brokenhearted, earning recognition for her compassionate and trauma-informed approach within the University of Rochester Medical Center. For the past few years, she has served as patient experience officer, trauma ombudsman, a role that has placed her at the forefront of patient care and advocacy. Each morning, Dr. McKee begins her day with meditation, establishing a spiritual connection before reviewing the hospital's trauma cases. She visits patients affected by critical incidents, listens to their stories and encourages them to express their experiences through writing. Her mission centers on guiding individuals beyond their immediate struggles, instilling hope, and helping them recognize the enduring value and purpose of their lives.

In her capacity as trauma ombudsman and patient experience officer, Dr. McKee became the primary liaison for families facing emergencies such as gunshot wounds, stabbings and other traumatic events. Recognizing that medical staff often struggled to communicate effectively during crises, she has helped bridge the gap between doctors, patients and families. Dr. McKee's work has emphasized understanding the backgrounds and circumstances of those affected by trauma, including survivors of sexual abuse, individuals exposed to drugs at a young age, and young people displaced by family conflict, ensuring that care was both empathetic and informed.

Since 2022, Dr. McKee has also contributed her expertise in emergency department patient family relations at Strong Memorial Hospital. In this role, she focused on fostering trust and understanding among patients who have experienced significant adversity. Dr. McKee's journey in hospital ministry began at Highland Hospital in 2013.

Dr. McKee's dedication to preserving a spirit of care previously led to the ambassador role at the University of Rochester Medical Center in 2014, a position she held until 2021. During this period, she served as a doorkeeper while pursuing her Doctor of Ministry degree.

Education has played a pivotal role in Dr. McKee's professional development. She earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from St. John Fisher University, followed by a Master of Divinity in theology/theological studies from Northeastern Seminary. She then obtained a Doctor of Ministry from Northeastern University.

Dr. McKee's civic involvement is extensive. She serves as an elder with the Seventh-day Adventist Church and teaches Sabbath school at New Ebenezer Adventist Church. Dr. McKee's leadership extends beyond religious settings as a sought-after speaker for several organizations, such as the Rotary Club and women's ministry groups nationwide, sharing insights on trauma-informed care and spiritual resilience.

Dr. McKee's ability to connect with patients and staff earned her the affectionate nickname "Alma Love," reflecting her reputation for warmth and empathy. In recognition of her contributions, she has been honored with several awards, including being named a Health Hero by Rochester Business Journal in 2025, making her the second recipient of this accolade. That same year, Dr. McKee received Distinguished Alumni status from Roberts Wesleyan University.

Mentorship has been integral throughout Dr. McKee's career. Looking ahead, she is determined to write a book that will share her profound story with others. She is actively seeking editorial support for this project.

Throughout every chapter of her life, from overcoming personal hardship to achieving academic excellence, Dr. McKee has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to healing others through compassion, faith and expertise in ministering to those most in need.
