Before being acquired by WesBanco, Ms. Clopton was the vice president of community development at Premier Bank from 2018 to 2025. During her tenure, she developed and implemented strategies to increase financial inclusion, focusing on outreach initiatives that empowered individuals from marginalized backgrounds to access essential banking services.
From 2010 to 2018, Ms. Clopton excelled as the senior loan specialist for the City of Fort Wayne in Community Development in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In this role, she managed projects aimed at revitalizing neighborhoods and supporting local economic initiatives.
Ms. Clopton earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in public administration with a concentration in nonprofit and public organization management from Indiana University Bloomington. In addition to her formal education, she completed student success mentor training through Mentor Collective in 2024. This certification enhanced Ms. Clopton's mentoring abilities via technology and human connection.
Beyond her education, Ms. Clopton maintains active participation in several industry-related organizations. She serves as the vice chair of the Fort Wayne Urban League, is a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, is president for the Fort Wayne Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and is president of the Greater Fort Wayne National Pan-Hellenic Council. Her civic engagement is further evidenced by board membership with Wellspring Interfaith and volunteer work Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, among other organizations.
Throughout her career, Ms. Clopton has demonstrated exceptional proficiency in lending and investment strategies that benefit all communities. Her expertise is widely recognized within the industry, earning her respect as a leader committed to inclusive economic progress. Ms. Clopton's contributions have been recognized with several honors, including the Champions of Change Award from Greater Fort Wayne, Inc. in 2025 winning the Corporate Award from among top individuals in northeast Allen County, Indiana in 2025.
Ms. Clopton attributes her achievements primarily to her faith, which she believes has guided her path and inspired her dedication to service.
